Metcalf looks comfortable in the role. Really happy he gets the first shot at 7. Bring on CHT at 6. Also how bad were the fucking refs. Even the Sharks got screwed
Reasonably happy with that. Kept a good sharks outfit to 12. Healey looks good.
Didn't really learn much else other than Capewell doesn't bring his late year form into the next year, so hopefully builds to it again.
I don't understand why Bunty is so far down the pecking order. Defensively Bunty is excellent.. Healey definitely played himself into contention for a role off the bench
To the people comparing clark to harris and walker.
I don't think those kinds of players come around often. Tohu was insane, being able pass well into the line while still being a tackle bot and giving up next to no errors. Walker was a great fill in but does not have the engine to stay in the middle that long nor can he keep errors out of his game.
I think clark can get there... But it'll take time. Kinda comparing him to some gaints here.
Thought Metcalf and Charnze looked good. Vaimauga looks like he could be a valuable part of our 17 this year.
Good to see Healey's run threat out of dummy half.
I know it was just a trial but Tuaupiki just seems like he has good composure and like someone who doesn't get overly nervous or overplay his hand like some of the kids when they get to play with the first graders. If he doesn't make the first choice 17 for round one I am glad we can call on him when needed.
I liked what Barnett was saying post match… they can't be nice guys in the middle, need to meet the opposition with aggression so they can lay the platform for the backs. Feel like between Barny, Fish and Vaimauga we have the basis there.
