To an extent but he is limited by who is available to recruit and who wants to come here. I imagine he'd quite like an elite half and a bit more speed in the outside backs just like most on here would.

Of course. But this is also his third season at the club and are there any players he hasn't been here for that have been signed or extended? Tohu was a bit unfortunate and out of the blue. SJ he knew was a year to year proposition.

This is his roster now regardless of who has been available to recruit.

If LM at 7 is the plan then I just want them to go all in on it for at least the first 10 rounds. Give him the time to shine. Look at SJ last year - with all of his experience he struggled to play with a few games here and there. The only way to know if he has the goods is to let him run the show for a while. He is the future we have invested in. He has invested a life in NZ in it too.

I get it though, he is the best 6 at the club. We need to find a good 6. I see 2025 as a development year anyway.

My hope is that someone stands up as our 7 allows Metcalf to move out to 6.

Watching Ethan Sanders, he’s ready to play nrl so Jamal Fogerty could look to get out of Canberra, that’s about the best 7 I could see that could become available but if Metcalf makes a go of 7, Dylan Brown just seems like the best option to come play 6. Comes with a strong running game, to compliment mobile forwards

From my understanding Fogerty wanted out of canberra this year but ricky put his foot down. Dude is an amazing halfback IMO and i don't really blame em for saying no but damn raider's have some good ones. Weekes looked amazing when fogerty was out and now Sanders...

That 40/20 from Metcalf was a beauty. Good to see him going for it in a trial, it’s a massive momentum boost when they come off and hasn’t been somewhere that was a strong suit for SJ
