Got hit by a stiff breeze, could be indefinite. Sorry I dunno. But it is frustrating how he gets hurt, and the others, when they are starting to go well.

That’s an investment for the future though. Either give 20 minutes of game time to a guy leaving the club or give a young half exposure to a big game. All of that forward pack can play big minutes so I don’t think it’s a risk

I think it’s smart to carry a half on the bench. There’s a tonne of versatility on the bench.

I would've thought that Doyle would be a better option on bench than Cleary if they're only carrying 2 forwards. With the line up as is, if Tuaupiki went down then Hanson would fill in at Fullback & he hasn't played there since 2022. Maybe they're not confident of one of Tuaupiki/Doyle covering the halves in the event of injury. As others have said, exposing Cleary to the environment is probably a factor

Cleary has a higher ceiling but Doyle has done some clutch things for this side. So far, Cleary is 0/3 in match defining situations this season. With Cleary only covering the halves it's a risk if any outside back went down. Fatialofa would go to Centre & just 1 Interchange forward
