General NSW Cup 2025

Pretty sure none of the players from today's game will be eligible for round 1 of cup.

So just the extended squad? EIT, Kosi, TMM, Healey, Bunty available to play?

Yup im keen to Boyd in particular. If he plays good, pulls up well he be in talks for Manly game.
EIT is another im keen to see where he playsz leka laban demi all too.

EIT is a gun second rower, he doesn’t have the speed to be a centre hopefully Webby sees that.
And we can move forward by releasing Capewell and Niukore and have Leka, EIT, Ale and Laban as our back rowers

EIT will get plenty of minutes for NSW cup this year in the second row. Halasima & Laban most likely will be on the bench for first grade with all the middles in first grade.

Hopefully, Boyd is available.

We need some pressure coming from the NSW Cup side.

I know he's not popular around here but signing a star half was going to be a struggle. If he can guide a side around the field and kick well there could be an opening for him in first grade.

Laban is another one that I hope kills it at this level and gives the coaching staff something to think about.

I like Boyd, will be a good organiser and provide a better all round kicking game than any of our current halves but it won't help our creativity or points scoring

Another guy id be taking a close look at would be Daeon Amituanai. Im not too sure who fast he is bur he looked tall(ish) and lean and put a good shot in. I think he can play both sides bur favours rigbt side and had decent stats for Panthers NSW cup last year.

Not prediction per say but I do want to see:
Pasikali, sio kali, daeon amituanai, eddie irermaia toeava. I got close eyes on young Eddie looked good in the storm trial but people alluded that he is a better SR.

Daeon and Kali added some nice shots on defence v Sharks game so keen to see how they progress and with top side being thin on outside backs who knows.

Im not sure what grade Toby Crosby is playing, but if he plays in nsw cup would be keen to see how he tracks

With taine up in FG, the cup teams really lacking a 1 with decent potential. Geronimo Doyle was average last season and had a stinker vs the Storm in the pre/season.

To be honest I don't trust him to be fullback, I think Wing is his lot, we need brains at fullback.

Assuming LM continues at 7 in first grade I'm thinking that we need to play our next best 7 at 7 in cup which, for me, is TMM. If he isn't then play him where he is likely to play in the first grade side if changes are needed

Sio has never played FB. Pasikala has. In saying that, I'd have neither of them at the back. Geronimo Doyle will probably play there.

Some key players to watch there. Lots of people getting the chance to be next man up in their key positions. Interesting to see Harper at wing rather than centre.

I'm surprised Laiman gets close.

Good to see Berry has overcome his issue and can continue his career.
