NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

Weidler loves all of the off field rumours. I can't recall him every talking about the on field product.

I do find it funny how he's talking with such authority on DCE not receiving an offer. DCE said in another interview he wasn't expecting offer and/or agreed with club there wouldn't be one.

Typical journalist. Please give me all of the confidential emails and I will report them, and the truth will be out there.

I've seen comments Fox keeps supporting Manly. From what I've seen, it has been critical of the club where required. Rothfield made an interesting comment about Mestrov lying to him a few weeks ago about DCE's status. That was following what was agreed with DCE's team.

My 2c. Comparing this to how we handled Johnson's last few years is night and day. Admittingly, we did have a fallout with Johnson a few years earlier so that relationship needing to be repaired may have helped.

Man, I'm struggling, how is anyone getting any sleep?

This is the greatest week in Warrior recruitment history. We have signed Ponga, Hughes, Cleary, Cobbo. Surely there isn't one more signing to come? Is there? Our NSW cup team is going to be insane depth!
Hope Tapine hears the call of the Fish.
Surely he doesn't want to retire in Canberra, it's full of politicians and retarded clapping weirdos.

Seeing as I can't post in the recruitment thread, perhaps someone can post this on my behalf.

Whispers growing that the outside back signing we are looking at is Will Warbrick for next year. Apparently his management made enquiries but nothing more than that at this stage.

Look forward to discussing this on the 9th April when my ban ends.

Looks to me like a Roosters and Warriors GF then.
A person asked for a source on the tigers forum for the rumour, and another poster said that the person who posted it gets their info from a player agent. No idea of its genuine or not? We certainly seem to be creating space for someone and I get the feeling it’s a fullback with CNK on his way out at the end of the season

I'd be more inclined on the Roosters part given their recruitment history.

Even that would seem strange with them already having Walker on their books. One of those two listed maybe as it would mean Walker still being part of their future.

Mind you it would be a Roosters thing to sign these two and push Walker out.
I can see DCE to roosters, but I’m having a hard time seeing Galvin being that Nick Politis apparently won’t deal with Issac Moses, who’s Galvin’s manager. Could also be concerns with the amount of injuries Walker picks up? If Galvin were to leave tigers, I could see it being eels more than any other team

Why would they not build their franchise around Walker? He is young and just getting better?

As mentioned in the post you’ve replied to, perhaps concerns about his injury? I can’t give you any definitive answers as it’s just a rumour I saw and no idea of its validity. Roosters were publicly keen on SJ and Ben Hunt, so I don’t think it’s a stretch that they might be interested in DCE being that they ended up with Chad Townsend

Source ??
A certain halfback north of the border was approached about a move to Bondi, which he rejected but at that meeting with certain powerbrokers was told Ponga had been approached about replacing Teddy, which was also rejected because he had a handshake agreement with a certain side from NZ. At same meeting, Galvin was mentioned as being signed to succeed certain aging halfback in two years time.
Ambiguous as I can be to keep identities secret

Off the tigers forum.
