STAR ON THE OUTER?

Which big-name back on big dollars is proving a headache for his club?

He's showing that he's not to worth the massive deal he was given and the club is looking to offload him - either to England or a rival NRL club.

It's not his behaviour or attitude that is an issue - more the fact that he leaks points at an alarming rate.

But to get him off their hands, the club would have to pay a significant amount of his lavish contract for the next couple of years

Apparently this is Dominic Young

My first thought is maybe they need the cap money for a crack at DCE.
Just a guess

Think they have a heap of cap.

The were able to sign David Fifita for this season before he did a back-flip.

They've lost JFH, Keary, Manu, May, Cheese - feels like I am missing some too

The Roosters are known for doing this, not necessarily tanking but they do appear to be doing a reset and will go again for a decade of high-performance.

Watching NRL360 for recruitment news was a deep mistake. Literally the whole show is gossip girl: throwing random theories out there with no actual evidence under the guise of 'asking questions'. "Asking Questions" is not journalism, a lesson that they clearly didn't learn at uni.
I like your posts - you have been in good form lately :)

If the Dragons are tyring to offload Young that goes down with Smith as another recruit they went big on that didn't work.

I can see them going big on recruitment like 2013 when they got SBW and a lot of other big names or when they got Cronk. They often have a real terrible year and can turn it around quickly via recruitment.

As much as some in the NRL push the one town clubs having an advantage there are some big advantages for the Sydney clubs. Especially with the recruitment market.

Roosters not happy as Young leaks points. Souths want to offload Wighton due to his defence. How much coaching have they put into them to fix their flaws?
Wighton has been around for years so there is a large sample rate. Fear enough Bennett inherited him but there has also been talk about how Bennett doesn't see him as a 6. He has fullback covered. So it doesn't leave much options. Centre is one of the harder positions to defend.
Young the Roosters probably saw points leaking down his side at the Knights and thought it won't happen with our inside defence. They have better guys inside him then.

Wighton if he does move on. He could have been a one club player. Then ends up moving around. If he does move on, he wanted to improve his chances of a premiership. Might need a bit more due diligence next time.
