NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

"However, the uncertainty surrounding R360 and the potential of a ban from NRL powerbrokers have seen Haas hold concerns regarding a rugby move... Even those within R360’s ranks reportedly have concerns of their own regarding the game’s finances and the potential for the competition to even get off the ground."

Wonder if there is a betting market for whether R360 will reach kick-off.
The odds are 360 to 1.

I was going to put $3.60 on myself.

Is this right? I used google Ai and it said he gets 2.2M tax free over there compared to $556K after tax with his current 1.2M contract 🤯

And if he plays for us he will take home $700K AUD due to Aussies taxing 45%?

It gave me we only need 1.13M to match Ponga’s current contract taxed in Australia…???

If the 10 year bad has that much of an effect than they should threaten the same thing with managers cheating the salary cap.

This is interesting as he was meant to be one of the main managers dealing with R360. His business partner mentioned he wasn't dealing with R360 as he wasn't certified for union, Schifcofske was. Similar to past bans they could have had someone else deal with the player to get around the ban. Mind you 10 years is a long time to pull those tactics.

This is also interesting as there was talk about the R360 deals being better for the managers. Yes, more money equals a higher percentage. But I believe their cut wasn't coming out of the players salary, but was instead paid seperatley. The manager do have an incentive to talk with R360.

Possibility the managers see the writing on the wall for the 360 comp.
The comp doesn't make much sense at this stage.

Jaimin Jolliffe not required at titans and closing in on a super league deal for 2026. Really surprised he can’t find another nrl team
Wooah, that's a shocking surprise.

He is that tough uncompromising prop most players appreciate being next to on the pitch whether off the bench or starting.
He can come up with a few good touches too.
Would be in my 17 any day.

It’s hard to follow why a guy like that would get the heave ho
