Panthers roll on ... will need to step up and smash the broncos ..can we beat the panthers of course we can .. but it will go down in history One of the greatest NRL wins if we do ...as we can't make any mistakes play even better than Knights game.. and need few key panthers players off their game
A couple of take aways from this game.
The Storm even though they are falling away from the team they were. They still made the top 4.
The Panthers. After winning two competitions and also losing a GF before that you didn't see the usual celebrations when the game was looking in control. They waited to the end. Basically a win and a GF appearance was expected.
I'd love for our expectations to be like both of these.

Yeah they should stick to their own thing.
We do the fans singing our victory song.
Canberra fans give each other the clap.
And Penrith are masters at dry humping each other in the in-goal.

As was mentioned in the commentary and a bit at the start of the season, they lost both Bromwich bros & Kafusi from their forward pack and really didn't replace them.
Katoa is not Kafusi yet.
Was just the 80s inspirational tone to it, made me cringe

Can easily see them winning 5 or 6 in a row if healthy.
Talk about being a development club. Look at the guys they let go and haven't even batted an eyelid.

I hate how all the talking heads say "you have to put pressure on Cleary kicking".
How on earth can you achieve that when every 5th tackle Yeo think he's an NFL blocker. Wish someone would just absolutely clean him up, because no ref is willing to penalise him.

We've had blockers all year.
There's a difference between blockers and seeing him completlely cleaning players out in that game.

Nah Yeo is a machine- years ago I used to say he was the most underrated player in the comp- everyone knows how good he is now though- very similar player to tohu.
Predictable result- storm were lucky to get past a depleted roosters side last week tbh.
Don’t have the grunt upfront anymore and grant and Munster are selfish players.
Right, now the curtain raiser is out of the way bring on the main event tomorrow! So excited I’m gonna struggle to sleep tonight (doesn’t help I’m on a boat in 5m waves

Could be worth losing by a 1 score margin tomorrow and going out with pride and heads held high.

Except sport has that wonderful little corner in it called miracles.
We would probably be $4.50 outsiders in the Grand Final, but never discount the possibility of a miracle
Although I dislike Penrith for their show boating, god damn do I respect them for what they are achieving.
It was suggested on Radio that to win three Premierships in a row in the salary cap error is not far from matching the St George 11 in a row.
Obviously that's hard to quantify and is probably a stupid argument. But 4 grand finals in a row, probably 3 premierships in a row - it's the sort of run that could take 50 years or more to be matched by another team
