International New Zealand Kiwis

Not really Kiwi related but looking forward to seeing RTS at fullback for Samoa vs England.
Imagine if RTS has a blinder at 1 and CNK plays well at 6???
Need a dominant 7 if CNK at stand off .
Food for thought for Webster .

Upon further thought, I don’t like this team at all. It seem so defeatist…….

“As long as we don’t get smashed”, that’s all I see here.

Not starting Nikorima. Is he a defensive liability, yeah. But I doubt we’re going to defend our way to victory here. Especially when we score no points. Maybe I’m underestimating CNK.

Then there’s the double whammy of not selecting Clark. Surely he can cover 10-15 at hooker.
Is him not being selected reflective of his ability. Especially when many members seem to dislike Riki.

I suppose it could be argued that our forward pack probably isn’t going to get on top of theirs, which would almost certainly nullify Nikorima. But still.

Surely CNK would have been better to go against the Hammer than Hiku.
Surely Issako will actually play left wing.

Regardless, let’s go Kiwis.

Yeah thats the way i see it unfolding as well.

Cant see Charnze initiating or running shape his edge which suggests SJ will sweep both sides as well as all 5th tackle options having to go through him......watch the Aussies just double team him......who knows maybe it'll open up for Crossland to direct some play.

Hiku's a wierd selection for me. Need a good defender up against Hammer......Hiku's many things but that aint one of them. Thought Charnze at centre Kodi 5/8 was a given tbh.

Oh well, lets hope it turns into a Stacey master stroke

I think CNK’s a strong body with a good running game and will demand attention. Hiku who is a poor defender, who lacks speed after about 15m is elite in setting up his winger if there is a half chance. You can see why Stacey wants him. It’s just how many tries will he let in.

CNK in the halves has me worried but looking back at history we tied with the Kangaroos when Vinnie Anderson was our #6 and have had victories with Sione Faumuina & Nigel Vagana in the position.
If SJ gets a solid platform it could be one to remember

Just watched that 04 game back yesterday. Leluai and Anderson has to be one of the more random combos we ever had.

19 year old Sonny Bill was an absolute freak.

Kiwis vs Warriors wouldn't work in that time frame because the Warriors were all on leave & it's high risk, little reward for the club. It wouldn't be competitive game anyways with the Warriors without CNK, AFB, Barnett, SJ, Niukore, Erin Clark and all the injured guys like TMM & Tohu.
A game against the NZ Residents would be a 100 point hiding & a waste of everyone's time.
No warm up games in 2023 & they won the title 30-0. The team we had this year just wasn't good enough on the night vs either Tonga or Australia
