Aren't most scientists aware of these factors though, they work with latest available data to determine modelling and reach relative concensus. Far's I can tell it's partisan media and political spin that distorts the scientist's work, not vice versa.

That’s crux of the issue. That 2nd link showed the problems with transparency over raw climate data. Think of it as open source software. Only open source can be validated and verified.

I don't watch NZ news, it's puerile. But regardless, moral of the story is the Nazi progandists labelled their enemies socialist, commie, woke etc whether they were any of those things or not, Goebbels wasn't interested in the truth. BUT, I don’t see this as taking out the media like Jacinda tried to do (the platform was started by right wingers that were cancelled), the politicians need the media in a love/ hate symbiotic relationship.

The ironic thing is the platform is now thriving with a multi-millionaire backing them while the traditional media organisations that pushed them out went woke and broke. love it for the plot twist!

I was more looking at Seymour publicly questioning a ministers power to speak to him on her concerns with his response it’s not her job. Seems rather than mention that to her behind closed doors that he’d rather everyone knows he isn’t answerable to her

The media just lied and manipulated people into unwarranted negative judgments in a democracy. I’m not ok with that. And it’s been happening constantly over the past few years.

Did you listen to the actual journalists comments about luxon thet Seymour referred to? Funny how the media aren’t quoting the biased rubbish that needed calling out and are instead attacking Seymour for being right!

Our judgements are all based off media reporting and how they edit and present things.

When they are caught straight out lying in an article, they have no credibility so you need to reflect on how much your world view has been manipulated.

Honestly, by all metrics the last govt was one of the worst in our history - the fact so many still supported and defended it shows the media didn’t do their job in holding them to account and in fact we’re enablers. That’s unforgivable.

Half the mess the country is in now is due to the media not doing their job and being complicit. They deserve to be shut down and cleared out if we want a better NZ. No sympathy here.

We want the voters chosen NZ, not the media’s.
