I think he's a good nrl utility and promising half, he's just not a first choice goalkicker. No point going over how bad he was, question is can at least one of Metcalf, Pompey and Taine stay in the team.

He is not a promising half at age 25. Next season starts early March 2025 he turns 26 in April 2026.

Doesn't really matter which way you look at it, it looks bad. For me, Barney is the initial person at fault, rushing out and getting done creating the gap through a staggered line. Its a bad miss by him IMO compounded by SIfa and Capewell...

The camera angle from behind our defensive line gave a good perspective look too

The annoying thing for me is that we had the momentum and fought back well just to have the break made through our two experienced SoO players side by side not working together. I'm a little hesitant to lump it on a young guy who had had only a couple of games in first grade

Not the first time Barney's lack of lateral movement on an edge has been exposed this year. If u look at the shape their throwing up Averillo's on the back door which Capewell has got eyes for, Barney probably just needed to keep drifting rather than committing on Kodi.....as u say tho the lack of connection between a couple of S,O,O players there is alarming.......the rookie is the least of the problem in that one.

However Hingano didn't understand his own body very well and he overbalanced while putting on the step and fell on his face.
