TMM is going ok for a player who some considered not up to first grade standard and I think someone else said he should retire?

Last 3 games: 2 Line breaks, 8 line break assists, a try, 7 try assists, no errors, no penalties conceded and defensively good.

And that's with a busted finger and in the Cowboys game a damaged shoulder.
It was easy to say SJ was a ball hog

It also is easy to praise Te Maire for his performances recently. But a key will be getting both players firing at the same time.

I have been critical of TMM performances in the past.
I am so excited to see his recent form.
Webster has changed his position to 7 to get him more involved.
"Not my words but Webster's " read into this what you want but facts are facts.
TMM has been great for us in the last 3 games after going missing at 6.
Great to see

For sure, but in TMM's case you don't go from not first grade standard to this in the space of a week.

It's like people going from Webster is the best coach we've ever had to he has no idea to always knew he was the man. 🤣

Not necessarily in the space of a week.
However he has gone up to another level in the space of 3 weeks.
Whether thats about the positional changes or not having SJ in the halves I am not sure but the improvements are awesome

How much effect do we think the missing and backing up origin players plus the lack of a bye yet for the Cowboys had on their performance? I mean we saw what a tired and injured team did to ours recently.

IMO their issues are much deeper than a stiff draw. But, it certainly had seemed to contribute.

The fact they have been vocal about it tells you it is on their mind. It is bizarre though that some teams have had 2 byes before they get their first.

Their fans are asking a valid question. Has there ever been such a poor team to contribute 6 Origin players?

Obviously some impact and obviously getting rested (coming off injury) players back for us helped but (sigh) I'll say it again, not one single team in this comp had to play 4 games in 20 days like we did with one golden point game and two away games in that mix. Plus, we have just had our first bye. Other teams have already had some and ours came when we most needed it. Feel for the Cows who haven't had one yet but jeez, having a couple out due to Origin, a and some backing up just not compare!
So proud of how the younguns stood up, how the veterans stood up, of our depth, belief in each other, of Webby's commitment to this club, and the rest of the coaching staff and the club hierachy.
Honestly, if we don't go all the way, this season so far has resonated with the character, never sy die, and effort put in by everyone involved. We get beat down, get up again, can't ask for more.

Certainly wasn't trying to diminish our own issues and struggles. Just trying to highlight that the Cowboys had their own ones to deal with this week.

Chad was poor, particularly in defence and positionally - that had a lot consequences to his outside - look at Mitch's try, he was stiller than a day old beer and just as stinky, no good communication in the line, generally everyone waiting for Dearden to save them ... not taking anything from our performance (which really was excellent) but there's some real issues in that Cows team, someone will have to go for them to improve

Peyton is a dead man walking surely. His longstanding beef with JT must have a toxic overflow into the dressing room in some way.

If they miss the 8 again how can he stay on? Many of their fans would be happy to see him gone now.

There is a good crop of assistant coaches at the moment in the likes of John Morris, Josh Hannay, Justin Holbrook. Luke Burt is killing it with Burleigh Bears in QLD Cup apparently.

Justin Morgan could get a small interim stint. Hard to see Peyton surviving the season

The SJ v TMM talk is interesting. In the presser, Webster seemed genuinely surprised that TMM had that level of play in him and was praising him for it.

but… if TMM was displaying that at training and in the preseason, he would have definitely started over Luke M.

The horror run of injuries and shit form has caused some important pieces to fall into place! It will be interesting to see what is our best team moving forward from here.

TMM was in a moon boot and only started training end of January. I think the last 3-7 games has opened up AW to a number of things that should have us in a better position because of it

TMM is best suited on the right and has confirmed it. His kicking game still below SJ's and dosen't have a long kick but getting better. Watching Walker on the left last night I know who I would have at 6.

Sounds like he is our next bench hooker! 🤣
