What other teams that finished top 4 the previous - would have the commentators going on and on about the other team scoring 5 tries from 5 seats... just to take the game to golden point. Ridiculous
Brandy has a serious deep seeded issue with our club. It should be studied.

Perhaps it reminds him of that dark time in his life. I don’t know.

But his tone when talking about us - he was so reluctant to give us any praise.

When the Cowboys scored their 2nd try to cut the lead to 24 (LOL) he sounded so jubilant, couldn’t stop harping on about Holmes pass, like you said - was counting down the tries needed to simply draw the game with less than 15mins to go.

Bro was gagging for it.

Who really cares though. They can have whatever agenda they won’t, only thing that matters is how we perform on the night.

Just made me laugh tbh 😂

To me the big question we've had all season is why does our attack look so one dimensional.

My guess is that it could be SJ related. I'm only basing that off the last three games and so it still remains to be seen.

My counter question to you is; if SJ was out there tonight, would the team have had a field day?

To me, that's the only question that matters.

Trust me

If SJ was out there - he would have had a field day

The forwards laid the platform for TMM to do magic when that cows back line was scrambling

TMM has earned the respect of the team and Webster. We now know he can lead and play 7.

I trust the coach to come up with plan where both SJ and TMM are equals on the field. Egan gets to pick and chose who gets the ball.

Both will need to play 6&7. Lead and support each other.

It’s exciting times. Let’s enjoy it!

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Tohu?

Genius of Webby to hold him back until the last 15 of the first half. Looked fresher than everyone else and was ripping in. He’s getting slower though. No doubt about it.

Capewell is kinda similar. You can see the difference in speed between these guys and the younger recruits like Laban, Ale and Zyon Maiu’u. The younguns have ferocious energy

Jazz was strong but didn’t stand out from the pack like he did last two games. Didn’t see any mistakes which was good.

We didn’t use our challenge which is another plus.

Thought the strategy was sound. And wasn't just about restricting minutes, his role was basically limited to hitting it up.

Capewell & Tohu on the bench is worth persisting with. I like the idea of trying to get on top early and maintain with the changes.

Compared with grinding early and trying to impact into the game.

Like said in an earlier post, I hope that I'm wrong.

All I'm saying is that TMM and CHT have bought our attacking potential to both the left and right hand side.of the field.

Previously it has heavily favoured the right hand side.

I dont care who's in those spots, as long as they keep our attack unpredictable to opposition teams.

The footy we are playing is ridiculously entertaining at the minute.

Not gonna get into rating players efforts as I think all our middles were smashing it as a team without the ball.
But the shape that happens off TMM on attack with all the players running under and out is looking so good. He even went left a couple of times tonight off set play in attack. (I’m looking at you SJ 🤣) - Just looked connected but also enough ad lib to be constantly dangerous. That boy has to be a part of how we attack over the next few games and he needs to control the play enough to do that. SJ should be there. But I just don’t think he’s as difficult a problem for defences to solve .
Seems you forget why SJ was in contention for the Dally M last season. TMM is playing brilliantly in the absence of SJ and even deserves the Dally M points as recognition and has without doubt shown he is the other half of the equation now the team is fit AND firing..

He’s a smart man Andrew.

Agree totally 💯 on SJ and TMM

I reckon either or can play left or right , 6 or 7, both can switch sides on the field, and make it totally unpredictable. It would be a nightmare for defensive structures to read

Don’t think I have ever seen that style of play and would be a genius out side the box move from Webby

Super excited for next week

It’s a valid question though.. TMM has brought the variation in the playmaking role that wasn’t seen in earlier rounds by SJ. The team looks solid and comfortable with the combo of CHT & TMM. SJ has been a legend of the club but IMO these two deserve a crack at the Storm. Then on the back of that result, look to the next game…

The bench was great, and yeah, Tohu's runs had a bit of urgency about them. He looks refreshed, and the bench might be the best way forward.

Not sure about Ford at prop though, and he did give away a couple of unnecessary penalties, par for the course.

Capewell provides some great defence, and maybe Webby just hasn't figured out the right use.

I'm kinda undecided with Johnson, it feels like he's dominated with very singular patterns this year - having TMM and whoever at 6 sees both sides open up, not to mention better kicking options

And where was AFB?
I am glad we resisted the temptation of releasing a video with AFB playing the drum.
I really was expecting something that corny.

You can see AFB slow clapping in the back ground, he is probably keeping his powder dry for an audition on Xfactor.

The test for me with our older bench was whether they could hold the line when the Cowboys were ressurgent.

A few posters pointed out how slow we looked after half time with them all out there, but the test for mine was whether they could slow the Cowboys down too.

We conceded more territory during that period and it was a little hairy to watch it, but they did their jobs, fast or slow doesn't matter (it is unrealistic to expect a team to play at the high tempo for eighty minutes unless you are in a grand final).

Will have to watch the replay but Webster saw it too and we got two players at least injected from the bench to kick it up a gear again when our slower phase looked to be putting us at too much of a disadvantage.
