The Broncos were on and our guys were gutsy.
A bit of luck and we sneak a win there.
Kosi blew a couple of tries that DWZ would likely have finished, and some of those penalties that the Broncos kept ticking over 2 points from were frustrating. 1 from a random scrum penalty, and another for taking out an offside player.
I thought we should have taken the two points when offered in front of the posts when the score was 20-6. It would have meant a two converted try difference rather than having to score three tries.
I wonder who made this decision - captain or coach?

I don't want to disrespect your opinion but we are a much better team with Metcalf in it. TMM is a good player but as a halfback Metcalf is in a completely different league.

CHT and Metcalf have done an excellent job this year overall. And of the two Metcalf is the more important.
It was just a thought, I am not wedded to it. Even in todays game Metcalf looked clunky on attack, running into his second rowers and centres.

Not denying Metcalf hasn't won us games on his own either but CHT has the most try assists 🤔

I thought the Broncos were good in the first half, but imo they were aided by Gee systematically reffing us out of the game for 60mins or so. He was awful today, pedantic and biased spring to mind. First time I've seen Webster display even a bit of frustration in the press conference. He wasn't happy.

The play the ball wasn't reffed consistently all game. Broncos slowed it down expertly which meant we were always in bad field position. Having said that, it looks like we struggle to adapt. Running one out into 4 defenders over and over again was like a replay of last week.

I'm not gonna go in to hard on Kosi, but he looks like he struggles with the speed of first grade. Always a mile behind the play and dawdling into the defensive line.
Good on him for saying something - pity it's going to be forgotten when it matters later in the season tho - it's not cool for that to happen clearly to one side - i came into post match commenting thinking 'oh well we were outplayed' but the more I looked at the calls which mattered (direct scoring plays, or denial of scoring ) then we're about 12 point to the negative, that's decisive, and it's fucked

There were some calls that went against us for sure. It was noticeable.

That play the ball penalty against Egan was absolute rubbish and the commentators knew it.
That's when I said the officials are starting to play there hand in the game.
But the discipline started cracking to.
That comes with the pressure of chasing.

True, but can't be worse if Metcalf if out. Boyd as next man up should surely come in as 7. I'm ok with CHT staying in 6 if TMM goes to the back and Rog stays on the wing. TT on the other wing
That's a good shout, Boyd has his boot and TMM has the passing game back door at fullback. Roger and Taine on the wing.

Probably the best combo we can field as a collective of who's available.

Expectations need to be realistic now sadly.

Very few teams can lose an Origin prop and (potential) Dally M halfback for the season and expect to contend.

I find suggestions that Boyd is the saviour to be absolutely laughable. Hope he proves me wrong.
