Shocking they can't even draw against 9 for 25 minutes lol. In saying that their recruits do look better than last year's, although they lost a few superstars too, I do wonder if NZ has a second team would we be another Phoenix. AFC got Paulsen for a year and now Oli Sail is with them lol

Phoenix were gifted a goal as well. They couldn't really create anything even against 9. It was pretty disappointing play from them.

I think a second NRL team would struggle to be competitive for a few years but the local derby would be great. It would also create more opportunities for players, likely from the Warriors pathways initially though

Phoenix were in it til they got a red card early in the second half and there was no coming back. Even the stats there are a bit misleading, one of the penalties he saved went straight in off the deflection so was only relief for a fraction of a second.

The interest and crowd size for this rivalry has already waned, somehow Wellington went downhill fast since AFC entered the comp

I wanted them to win but they acted like those raiders last year towards the end with Adelaide moms and kids in the crowd so not sure what’s the dickhead culture they have there, do it to the Adelaide bench please, the only time warriors did it was when Leka scored that try and even then everyone was more shocked confused and excited than aggravating the crowd lol

Yeah I flicked over and watched quite a bit of the game. The overall takeaway for me was what a bunch of shitty winners they were. It was horrible.

Happy for both teams especially the women Phoenix. It's one thing to make a grand final but to win it is a different ballgame. You gotta be on your game. We as Warriors fans know this 2 times. As expected Phoenix women got taught a lesson by Melbourne tonight.
