Good point. Great player young in Harold Matthews doesn't turn into great player old in NRL.

I'd say you also can't go Average player young doesn't mean average player old. Yes, there's a point where you have to front players and tell them they'll never be anything like the next SJ, SM, AFB, whover but I don't think Harold Matthews level is that point.

Obviously Bad player young, yep, probably not gonna have a stellar NRL/ESL career, that kid! Mainly because Bad at that point is probably an attitude "I don't care!" or "I deserve to be in a higher team!" thing which no sports training can fix.

Any website shows player combos coming through the grades irrespective of the team's final placings that have made it BIG in the NRL?

I like Webby, but I can't explain the performance of the team and the bench use for this Round 1 game. Questions deserve to be asked, sadly.

@Fonzie any chance next time you interview Webby you can ask him about his thinking around bench use? Just hoping David Kidwell has not been giving him advise.

We've been on a downward trajectory through 2024 and it looks like it's going to continue. We look a lot worse than last year.

It's his team now, not one he inherited and if we don't start seeing improvement, the pressure will increase and questions will be asked.

I wouldnt call for his head. Truth is 2023 we overachieved.

But he has flaws in particular how to use a bench for starters. But Manly and chooks are next. Can see hs going 0-3
