Rog gets fb surely, we lose less with Ali or Pomps at centre, Taine's defence positioning worries me.

It will be interesting to see if we get any games during the season where a team doesn't receive a penalty.
The 6 agains seemed a lot like last year. We get field position and it seems like they are hard to come by and then when we are in our 20 the 6 again hooter starts going off. Two things with that some of the calls will be our discipline in slowing things down. The second one we are resilient in holding teams out.
A lot of games it does seem like we get 6 again calls later in the game when the score is blown out. It would be more useful earlier when the scores are closer.
The main referee call I'd argue was in the second half where a Dolphins player went back through the ruck. We got pinged for that a lot last year. Instead today the ref was more worried about Barnett shortening the 10 metres by moving forward.

Taine Tuaupiki looked pretty good in the first half. He's different to CNK who is so dependable.
The young fella with his speed looked good supporting in the middle.
The main thing was a few times on our line where he'd get caught in the play the ball and wouldn't move across which left us open to a kick. That lead to the first Dolphins try and nearly happened later in the first half.
Not sure if RTS back at fullback was to keep him on the field and giving him more game time back in league while giving the centre options some game time. Or if they were keen to see him back and fullback to see a few things. He looked good back there. Looked good at centre as well. Went back there and was back to doing a lot of work.

It looks like they have worked quite a bit on their left side attack. I hope it clicks like we saw with the right hand side last year.
We will always be more right side focused with Johnson on there. He's so good at getting guys in to holes when they run the required lines.
They have given Metcalf a lot of time in the trials to push his claim for the 6 jersey.

My key points…..
Taine is a good back up to CNK
DWZ and Montoya done well
RTS is the goat!! Berry done well
Metcalf did enough to get first shot, I think CHT will be pushing him by mid year
SJ still rules
AFB and Barnett were got Marata was great in the middle!!
ford should be replaced by Labain
Capwah was great
Tohu is still the man
Egan is a top 3 #9 and daylight to Lussick.
Jazz needs to prove his worth in cup.
Overall happy with the game and I think out NSW cup team is gunna kill it!!!
