To be fair I'm pretty sure we won the 6 again count.

Everyone looked bigger, fit and sharp with the minor usual preseason lack of combinations.

We smashed them. When SJ went off our attack lost direction but we were easily the better team.

The ref kept it close - it’s the NRL…

Our forward pack looks like it’ll will go beast mode this year.

couple of observations

if he remains injury free expects to be without Egan for the origin period. he's going to be a top 3 hooker this year.

SJ looks to have his dally m form again so it will be interesting to see how the NRL tries to rob him this time.

I only learnt two things from the trial: 1. last year wasn't a mirage: we are even stronger, fitter and faster than last year. 2. The dolphins are not a top 8 side.

It's a trial so the results aren't super important. More so as we have seen in the past where we have looked terrible and done well in the season proper or looked like champions in the trial and ended up having a terrible season.

The win is good for some confidence heading in to the season.

Trials the scores can flip around depending on the interchanges and when each side has more of a stronger side on. That is pretty much what happened today.

Overall it looks like we are ready to build on last season.
