Great debating, really expanded on the conversation in a positive way. I learnt so much from your valuable contribution as you highlighted an alternative viewpointAll of which shows how off track you are Wiz. Actually, completely ignorant.

You presented that as a fait accompli WizGreat debating, really expanded on the conversation in a positive way. I learnt so much from your valuable contribution as you highlighted an alternative viewpoint![]()
1. Not now, Trump's cancelled them1 - there is always a place and a process for refugees.
2 - why canβt the people with ties to that country stay and rebuild it as a better place?
3 - if the US destabilised a country and the people hate the US for it, why would any go to the US unless that evil IS narrative is in fact incorrect?
4 - why do people would want to go to the US, an anti immigration right wing country?
5 - Shouldnβt they want to go to a country with a similar culture? Or a left wing country that welcomes immigration?
All I hear is how bad the US is on here, surely the illegal immigrants donβt want to be thereβ¦ Trumps doing them a favour isnβt he according to some of the posters on here?
Surely you don't believe JD Vance? The guy who says all these "illegal aliens" are also buying up all of the homes in the USA & decimating population of cats & dogs by eating themWow almost 10% of the population is illegal immigrants
Why is Texas the best?1. Not now, Trump's cancelled them
2. Usually not a viable option when they're fleeing bombs and death squads
3. Well it used to be branded as a melting pot, land of the free, bring your poor huddled masses etc
4. For the American dream?
5. What culture could be more similar for Mexicans than Texas? Or as the illegal immigrants call it, Best Mexico.
Well another poster bought up some nice points and weβve going back and forth figuring out how and why we have our different view points. You presented that as a fait accompli Wiz
Not really. Your points don't come from a place of reality.Well another poster bought up some nice points and weβve going back and forth figuring out how and why we have our different view points.
Thatβs how we learn and grow by being open to different view points
1 - fair point. thereβs other countries, they dont have to go to the US. And the US is allowing 7,500 refugees in 2026 - the lowest in history!1. Not now, Trump's cancelled them
2. Usually not a viable option when they're fleeing bombs and death squads
3. Well it used to be branded as a melting pot, land of the free, bring your poor huddled masses etc

Fine go back you your lefty rabbit holes where everyone agrees with you and keep ranting in confusion why the world keeps voting rightNot really. Your points don't come from a place of reality.
It sounds like your truly interested in Anarchism Wiz.Amongst all the back and forth this is an interesting concept to explore.
If you donβt control your borders, how do you plan social services, school, hospitals, etc if floods of unexpected people can just turn up? How do you ensure security if people of different mindset want to come eg a murder fleeing another country? Do you have to right to stop anyone?
Taking it to the logical conclusion with no lines in a map, do you believe in private ownership of your own property? If a squatter wants to live in your guest bedroom, what is the philosophical difference to an illegal immigrant demanding access to a country? I see the same underlying issues.
Iβm not interesting in arguing, I genuinely want to explore this. I see maintaining borders as the only way to plan, protect a way of life and ensure a cohesive society.
Yes Inruin and I don't blame you for not responding to anything I post. Last time iirc was when I hinted that the contract for the Cook Strait/Wellington ocean going salvage tug was in jeopardy. Your response was something like " That wouldn't happen and the government has previously renewed the contract and they have no reason to cancel it now ".Remember?? Bingo. Next day Bishop announced the cancelation as of late February 2026.Interesting you only limited it to two I don't bother engaging with now![]()
