Politics πŸ€‘ Donald Trump

@snake77 sending out the call again - you've made an allegation here about racist posts by left leaning posters.

Please do provide some examples.

Equally, if you can't find any, all good, just let us know.
Most of what I have called out was on the forum before it got wiped. I'm fine not naming names and will call out any posts like I have in the past.

If people haven't said anything recently I'm fine not dragging their name through the mud.

I don't care about left or right. Racism is deplorable either way and I will stand by what I said. It is on the individual.

Will Trump pardon everyone involved with ICE on the way out? If so, why is this necessary?
It wouldn't surprise me. He pardoned the people from Jan 6th or 7th. I don't know much about ICE, have seen the terrible headlines. So, looking at the past he will cover those that have supported him.

I didn't like the pardoning of the Jan 6th/7th people or on the other side of the isle Biden pardoning his son for everything for such a wide period.

I don't know much about their pardoning system but it seems like a massive get out of jail free card. Especially when you see the number of pardons.

It would be better for situations like this:
  • A person has spent years behind bars but recent evidence throws doubt over the case or proves their innocent. Sometimes waiting for the court system is too long.
  • People that have a criminal record in the past but have turned their life around. This should depend on the crime and the impact on the victims.

I hope the next elections they have a candidate on both sides of the isle that a competent. As whoever takes over the job has a big job fixing the last 3 election cycles. I don't know much about what Obama achieved locally within America. But worldwide at least we had someone in America who could speak well, seemed to consider the decisions he made etc.

Making foreign products more expensive for Americans hurts Americans. Seems counterintuitive. MAGA math
A lot of his economics is daft.

They would have had tarriffs before but they all made it seem like it was a magical thing that no one knew about. They though they will have high tarrifs and no taxes. That is a lot to achieve in a couple of years. Also daft as the next government is likely to reverse it all as it likely wouldn't be sustainable. Also dropping the tarriffs would improve relations with other countries. Also better deals for American companies.

The belief that everything will manufactured in America is a fantasy.

A hobby I have the owner of one of the companies went over why it wouldn't work. Yes it is one specific industry but when the intellectual property for the manufacturing has been lost it would take years to build the facilities, train staff etc. Then there is the costs involved.

He designs his products and it is manufactured in China. It is packaged and shipped back for him to sell.

His company is bascially just the sales side. If he brought it inhouse he also becomes a manufactuing/production company which he doesn't want. Plus that is a huge cost to his small company.

To have it like China where multiple companies could be customers of a production company would need a new company created. Again the equipment and skills would be needed. It isn't gauranteed that other companies would take the risk in moving to them. Then there is the risk of starting a new business under changing political conditions.

I've seen Americans post asking about how they pay the tarriff.

As someone overseas who already gets stung by overseas shipping it means a further hit to the wallet or not purchasing something as companies keep lifting prices. Even had emails from companies complaining about the unstable conditions.
