True, can't think of many private sector investments that don't receive some indirect public funds. Would rental housing be one of the highest weekly tax payer contributions via Winz though?Just about every one. Lets start with roads.

Yes.Are you seriously trying to claim that home owners would have been business owners if it wasn’t for pesky red tape?![]()
And as a 25 years+ small business owner what's wrong with that.Yes.
It’s well known that once you make a bit of money in NZ you put it into passive income because we don’t celebrate success in NZ and you just get hammered from all sides.
Hence we’re the nation of small businesses.
Nothing wrong with it in a small scale. But Frank is right, we need as many as possible to grow massive and make NZ great! And as a 25 years+ small business owner what's wrong with that.
We can't all be multi Nationals like some on here aye Wiz ?
You seriously think that is going to swing that way without making meaningful changes to the property market?Nothing wrong with it in a small scale. But Frank is right, we need as many as possible to grow massive and make NZ great!
We need to promote, support and enable that mindset where those that want to push on and generate wealth for everyone.
We need lots of changes in NZ to get us on track including addressing the property market. You seriously think that is going to swing that way without making meaningful changes to the property market?
We have a generation who think it is their god given right to make easy money from property and a political class unwilling / petrified to make the changes needed to pull it back.We need lots of changes in NZ to get us on track including addressing the property market.
It’s not a one or the other because everything is interlinked.
Okay cool. I want to become massive and make NZ great!.Nothing wrong with it in a small scale. But Frank is right, we need as many as possible to grow massive and make NZ great!

If the cannabis referendum had gone though it could have been our equivalent of Aussie mining, and Warriors fans would have made NZ great again according to the drugs thread.Okay cool. I want to become massive and make NZ great!.
Should I be investing in property or my business![]()
Invest in both… we actually need more houses and businesses!Okay cool. I want to become massive and make NZ great!.

Thanks mate.Invest in both… we actually need more houses and businesses!
So now you're a conspiracy theorist. Doesn't suit your echo chamber, righto.New Curia poll out today and despite all the negativity on here ‘the major parties remained relatively the same with National easing half a point to 36.5 percent’
And Peters, despite leading an anti media campaign and being roundly criticised everywhere is up a couple of points.
Despite a big media beat up lately, it’s backfiring in their faces, with the 3 coalition parties maintaining their overall support because the parties have actually just been doing what their election policies were which their supporters are happy with

You haven’t noticed the media angle:So now you're a conspiracy theorist. Doesn't suit your echo chamber, righto.
Really. The biggest election policy of tax cuts didn't make it past the first hurdle and the second one was regarding crime.New Curia poll out today and despite all the negativity on here ‘the major parties remained relatively the same with National easing half a point to 36.5 percent’

Mitchell has sent a letter to the Police chief.
Strong stuff..
I also don't recall implementing a racist agenda an explicit policy on the election trail eitherNew Curia poll out today and despite all the negativity on here ‘the major parties remained relatively the same with National easing half a point to 36.5 percent’

This government are deliberately targeting increasing smoking and uptake. They will kill 10s of 1000s of people and entrench a horrible death product back into our livesYou haven’t noticed the media angle:
- The govt is going to kill 5000 smokers
- the govt is racist
- worst coalition negotiations ever
- failed govt (after 1 week)
- sold out to gun lobby/ smoking lobby
- Reti should resign
- worst government opening ever
- etc, etc, etc
Negative, negative, negative. And just proven that middle NZ hasn’t fallen for the bought out media’s hitjob
This thread has followed the same negative narrative hence people leaving and the claims of negativity, lack of balance and perspective.
I’ve personally been called racist, a white supremisist, wanting to kill the poor, privileged, etc in this thread just for supporting what middle NZ want.
Maybe a good chance for some people to reflect on if this thread is representative of middle NZ?
