If you apply logic say to Wizzards argument that the problem is substance use....then logic would tell you a lower speed limit for the drunk and stoned drivers is probably a good start eh.

It's been telling that reduced speed limits have coincided with a lower road toll, if that is a true correlation. Reduced productivity being the price apparently. An acceptable road toll usually doesn't include our own families.

Often times these are young people dying, which economically speaking creates long term incalculable loss if you want to frame it in dollar terms.

No mate we're talking batshit theories not the established facts about the ref bias against us. I must admit I'm starting to have doubts though, they've been weirdly on our side since the Melbourne game, even Kasey Badger in the bunker made all the right calls in our favour. Makes you wonder if we were deluding ouselves all along.

I do quite often get called a cooker when I'm trying to explain how we're going to finish top 4 this year to anyone who'll listen. They'll see.

… or hammer the stoned and drugged drivers and get them off the roads. More drink driving checkpoints than speed cameras would target the actual problem.

Isn’t it better to solve the solve rather than a fatalistic approach of saying we accept twats, on the road but when they hit you, make it slower?

And then there’s the issue that stoned and drunk idiots are usually the ones that won’t stick to the lower speed limits anyway…

That's the solution for this part of the road toll. Smart cars with biometric scanners to read blood alcohol and drug levels will solve it, but in the meantime we could spend more on checkpoints etc. That might cost more than we were losing with lowered speeds though.

Now what are going to do about inattention? The Neuralink brain scanner car is coming, we'll all have to get chipped, but I can't see what could go wrong.
