Politics 🗳️ NZ Politics

Seems like sensible priorities from the govt. lots of extra funding for the key areas that matter to NZ (welfare, health, education, environment, law and order). Doing the basics well.

So much for the lefts attack lines of austerity and the cutting everything… well done coalition!
To provide some much needed context missing from your post Wiz

The graphic is a comparison of the coalition's last two budgets. Nothing else.

Here's the top few paragraphs, highlighting quite clearly this is a hard right neoliberal budget.

Of the rich, by the rich, for the rich.

Prioritising welfare, health, education, environment and law and order is hard right, neoliberal, by the rich and for the rich?

If that’s the case I’m all in!

You would have hated the last line in that article:

The $155b in borrowing racked up by the Wellbeing Budgets is not so easily got rid of.’

Record increase in taxes, massive increases in debt under Labours wellness budgets with worse social outcomes is your preferred far left way? 🤣

They're not prioritizing welfare, health, education or environment. They're running all of those down
The stats show the increase over the past 2 years since labours last budget: welfare nationals spending 12.5% more than Labour spent; health up 9%, education up 6.1%, environment up 13.8%.

Facts are facts even when they are inconvenient - keep spreading the far left propaganda though… it just undermines credibility when the mainstream media show facts saying otherwise. 🤣

Corruption, chaos and economic damage

‘Labour’s finance spokesperson Barbara Edmonds agrees, saying Investment Boost is a “good measure because it helps businesses to reinvest in their business”.

‘United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Canada as examples of other nations running similar schemes with positive economic results.’

Is this another one of those pro National articles you post without reading the content 🤣

Nationals got another 3 years locked in I reckon!

You're posting a graphic comparing the current coalition's last two budgets. Not Labour.

Try and be honest please wiz. Read the full article.

Funny way to run things down:

Record investment in health delivery

“Budget 2025 provides a $7 billion increase in Vote Health operating funding over the forecast period. This includes the $1.37 billion per annum increase to Health New Zealand’s baseline – bringing total health spending in 2025/26 to $32.7 billion,” Mr Brown says.

Address your previous comment about the graphic that you seem to be attributing to Labour incorrectly please?

The graph is the increase in budgets since Labour was in govt. The increase in the 2 years National has done their budgets.

Not attributing to Labour. This is the increase in govt budgets since Labour. Not hard to understand really 🤷‍♂️

Instead of me doing all the work and posting multiple sources, post some hard data with facts and figures from a reputable source showing your claimed decrease in funding! 🤣

No it's not. It's your choice to do what you do, but stupidity for me to keep going with this.

You literally said this, when it's between the coalitions two budgets not between Labours and the coalitions budget?
Ok, so the figures are twice as good then. If that’s the way you read it, it’s even better 🤣

welfare up 12.5%
health up 9%
education up 6.1%
environment up 13.8%.

In 1 year! Amazing investment and definitely not running things down!

It's literally what it is bro, not the way I read it. Presenting it the way you did is wrong.
Not arguing that it's not a good thing though, because it is.
