The greens would get a lot more support if they stick to the core Green issues. They seem to have lost their purpose and are a waste of space in parliament. What’s the last ‘Green’ initiative they went all in on? This weeks news was that we can’t even get wind farms approved in the country and they are busy attacking the police - priorities all wrong.
Still, no matter how useless, unprofessional and outright stupid they are, their polling never seems to suffer. Reflection on the values of their voter base I guess.

As for welfare dependency - as with all things I'm sure it's complex. With generational gangs, drugs, alcohol, entrenched racism, neoliberalism enforcing these structures, all manner of things it will require time, effort, care, willingness from all in New Zealand, rethinking of our societal contracts, rewiring of the current and entrenched narrative that rules the boomer's world etc etc etc etc etc etc.
Which doesn't fit with the right, or centre of New Zealand.

Sure personal decision making is a factor. Quite a big one.
It takes personal awareness to be able to make good decisions.
Personal awareness is quite elusive to many people, due to many factors, not least of which is intergenerational damage and entrenchment.
No issue - merely affirming that the Platform is far right, Laws is far right, the topic of conversation is generally sitting within white boomer nz which generally leans very right and Frank can easily sit within these parameters, or at least appear to, at various times.

no one has said there needs to be a task force going around exterminating beneficiaries, but anyone should have concern for the future.
especially when in his words he quit a well paying job to get legal aid and now takes home a good chunk more that a LOT of new zealanders without working.
