Benjamin Doyle's Instagram account I think. Not sure what to make of it, could be a hit job, pretty fukn weird if true.

pretty clear what to make of it, i thought.
the photo (not sure if can be posted here?) is apparently from 2023 but completely unacceptable any time any place. especially from someone either in or with aspirations to be in parliament.
undoing a lot of hard work by others to be taken seriously and be treated with respect.

Would seem odd if there’s pedophilia that he would be so open with it? Hope he at least gets an opportunity to explain himself, though looking at him I think many would have already made up their minds based on other factors. Like how destiny are saving children from drag story reading. Notice Doyle had to apologise for not wearing a seatbelt back in January, so there’s certainly been a view to scrutinise

Greens might not survive the next scandal, if rumours are even close to being true.

The greens would get a lot more support if they stick to the core Green issues. They seem to have lost their purpose and are a waste of space in parliament. What’s the last ‘Green’ initiative they went all in on? This weeks news was that we can’t even get wind farms approved in the country and they are busy attacking the police - priorities all wrong.

Still, no matter how useless, unprofessional and outright stupid they are, their polling never seems to suffer. Reflection on the values of their voter base I guess.

what incentive is there for anyone to work in a low income or minimum wage job when they can get paid more on a benefit and give an extra 40-50 hours a week to raising kids?

and you don’t find it troubling the percentage of kiwis getting a benefit?

being a lifetime beneficiary is a fucking wild career path. especially when you have kid after kid and pass the bill on.

i won’t pretend i have the answers on how to fix it, but calling somone a fascist for finding it a concern for the future is pretty ballsy.

With generational gangs, drugs, alcohol, entrenched racism, neoliberalism enforcing these structures, all manner of things it will require time, effort, care, willingness from all in New Zealand, rethinking of our societal contracts, rewiring of the current and entrenched narrative that rules the boomer's world etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Which doesn't fit with the right, or centre of New Zealand.

if we’re able to have concern over literally any/every other way tax payer dollars are spent, why not also this?

no one has said there needs to be a task force going around exterminating beneficiaries, but anyone should have concern for the future.

especially when in his words he quit a well paying job to get legal aid and now takes home a good chunk more that a LOT of new zealanders without working.

that’s an issue.
