As usual a bunch of doogooders making life harder for everyone involved.Stuff

What an absolute mess of a situation. This guy should have been deported in 2014 when he initially broke the law
Would certainly hate to see him receive a roof over his head over a person or family that haven’t committed what has in the past as callous as that perhaps sounds. Sounds like the best thing for all parties is to deport himAs usual a bunch of doogooders making like harder for everyone involved.
Thats what he himself wants. Just a complete waste of everyones time and money. Think how many millions has been spent on this one issueWould certainly hate to see him receive a roof over his head over a person or family that haven’t committed what has in the past as callous as that perhaps sounds. Didn't appear to be to suppress anything or because of the content, but that particular reporter's previous behaviour, which didn't seem to much in it either. Good decision to reverse the call.Stuff

Interesting development that the speaker has reversed his decision to block the journalist in the article I posted earlier
No nothing suppressed, just odd that the reporter was banned by the speaker until this afternoon where a story on stuff came to light regarding the situation? Would be interesting to know what his behaviour that he was initially banned for involved?Didn't appear to be to suppress anything or because of the content, but that particular reporter's previous behaviour, which didn't seem to much in it either. That's what the article in your previous post had suggested.Barring Aaron Smale from the abuse in care apology is a very, very bad joke
The grim irony of prohibiting a journalist who has shown such tenacity in the face of an obstructive state.thespinoff.co.nz
Seems that Smales made them uncomfortable with his line of questioning and his intent
Looks like a genuinely good pick on first glanceCrown observer for Wellington City Council named....
Simeon Brown names Wellington’s Crown observer
The Government has raised concerns that Wellington City Council looks like 'a shambles'.www.nzherald.co.nz
Sorry, Worried2Death but I can't find any links to Atlas
Looks like it’s an appointment based on merit and not an appointment for the old boys network.Looks like a genuinely good pick on first glance
If he can sort out Nobby Clark and the inbred racists in Invercargill, my money's on him to sort out the woke winos in Welly.Looks like it’s an appointment based on merit and not an appointment for the old boys network.
WOFTM Bill. The Treaty Principal bill has been great politics. Act get to propose populist changes which they know won’t go through, but they win with their voters for having strong convictions. National gets a foot in both doors but gets to stop it and look like the grown up good guys so they win with their voters. The Māori party get to protest and make a big song and dance and look like the one stopping it (while not telling their voters it was never going ahead) so they win with their voters..
All three parties know it was never going to go through (it’s already been said) but they get great political theatre and all come out winners with their voters. Perfect politics.
Even the Greens get on board by trying to tack on the Palestine protesters into the hikoi and get some media coverage!
Really great use of our politicians time making our country better…
