should they be encouraged to stay in the kitchen?
rely on men?

or barefoot and pregnant, mouth closed legs open etc? all the good old cliches?

what about solo mothers? trying to catch an education and raise her little boys better than to join gangs? be better men than their fathers?
I was brought up by a my mother largely. Take my hat off to any solo parent

People are free to do what they want. But let’s be real about the outcomes. Same as my crime argument.

Wages went down, divorce rates went up, happiness index went down, mental health issues sky rocketed. Do you think these are good things?

Personally I think it’s fine to teach kids people are different at different things. And that there’s nothing wrong with staying at home raising kids while your partner works, regardless of gender.

Which family is better off?
A) Both parents work and earn $80k
B) One working and earning $160k and the other parenting.

And now there are so many forces trying to break that. Some of it’s unintended consequences, some of it’s racism, some of it’s classism.

Strong men raise strong families. Strong families make strong communities.

As I said I’ve rapidly become traditional conservative in regards to families. That’s not homophobic, I mean 2 parents of any sex, with traditional values and boundaries.
That's why I think Efeso Collins will be missed.... a strong man with convictions and a huge heart for Pacific people. To many times, sports people are turned into heroes, but, from the times I'd dealt with him, he deserved to be looked up to and admired.

Not sure it's a direct correlation though, women in the workforce = lower wage economy. Myriad of other factors at play.
As you say ideally it would be a choice, option B is a good outcome for two parents units when kids are young, but that's way above median income.

again i agree.
with one caveat.
such an olden days view. nuclear family but allowing for a little bit of flavour, but
the church STILL get to decide how a household is should run?
based on what? gender? skin colour?

sorry, two caveats. haha
who’s to say two parents earn half of what one parent might?

Bruh take 30% of the workforce out and see what happens to wages đź‘€

OK even if there is a direct causation we're not going back now, females are outperforming males in education everywhere you look, women aren't going to stop being our doctors and teachers and shit, so what are you suggesting we do as a tradcon, restrict entry to the workforce?

I’m not sure I get you? It’s not an olden day view. You do realise that like the large majority of people need to enter into heteronormative relationships and procreate, or your society will collapse.

I’m as progressive as anyone, but you can’t butt fuck your way to babies.

Because of the realities. Women by default HAVE to take time out of the workforce. This affects their career progression. Women work 36hs to mens 40hrs. That’s leads to further career progression for men.

Just the way it goes in adult and relationship issues that arise. The kids can sometimes become collateral unfortunately
It’s actually not. That’s an enormous cop out. Look at the media and information that’s been consumed for the last 50years, individualism, “girl boss” , delay having kids, focus on your career.

Now add that to emasculation that is CREATING toxic masculinity. Chivalry and gender based roles wasn’t toxic but incels certainly are.

Nope. Choose your partner wisely, look after your family. Buy arable land and fuck everybody else.

it’s an olden day view that women stay home have/raise kids while the man goes out and earns.

there’s nothing to say anyone has to have kids or stay home or get a job or even fucking provide anymore as we’ve seen plenty of.

female couples?
solo mothers on a benefit?

plenty of good people come from homes with no male role model, but 100% agreed no good male role model is a common childhood theme in grown up shitbags

i’m sure we don’t need a mum to raise us while dad goes to work.

also, where’s the graph for the pile of absolute fucking dropkick grown men trying to staunch out a 55kg indian seccy at winz lower hutt i see as i drive past some days. a lot of patches, not much decorum.
i can see why some women don’t want men in their lives.
