Ever been a Jackson Browne fan? A bit schmaltzy production-wise but he could craft lyrics that conveyed a feeling. Even if they were about quiet desperation, hopelessness and resignation to your fate.

Same brother, one of my driving soundtracks for years too. His earlier albums not so much though, there's always the danger of falling asleep at the wheel, and in the case of Late For The Sky, giving up and driving off a cliff.
