He may have scored a few but did make it look hard initially. Seems to be a decent keeper though from the two games I have watchedI stand by the call

It is really poor. And if we don't take this opportunity to reinvigorate the side then when will we?
There are only so many test playing nations and who do they play against if not mid tier nations?
They can't just play against Afghanistan and Ireland all the time. The fact Zimbabwe still want to play tests should be commended.
We need more competition and promote smaller countries too.
Now why us? Because we've always been one of the lesser nations and until we're top tier constantly then we deserve to play against these nations.
Tier one: Australia, sa, england, India
Tier two: Sri Lanka, NZ, Pakistan, Bangladesh, west indies,
Tier three: Afghanistan, Ireland, Scotland (do they play tests?), Zimbabwe
Have I missed any?
Afghanistan bear us and australia, they are a minnow on the rise, but yes a poor test bowling wise for both teams, or is it the deck?

Could the black caps drop ravindra for Jacobs this next T20?
Also do you guys think Phillips place as a genuine All-Rounder in the ODI setup is a given?
I think i would have Bracewell at six over Phillips, other than his energetic fielding he's never really produced with bat or ball in this format?
Just some things to ponder, but a lot of people are so high on Phillips and I have doubt, and also think nz has some genuine all round talent brewing at domestic level, Luke Georgeson for example.
If Phillips could focus on his batting and be a genuine middle order batter I would like that idea more, he's a better battery then he's been showing, but i think the bowling side of things has taken away from that.

I actually think he is better suited to the short format as a batsman who can bowl. I agree with you for test matches but we need a decent all rounder to replace him.
