Linnane should be in a good position.

ACL is typically not stronger so more prone to reinjuring again, but the longer the recovery the less likely that is.

Linnane will be over 12 months removed by the time the season starts.

The bigger concern will be Metcalf trying to get back too soon.
Based off when Metcalf did his ACL he should be right for round 4 next season if not earlier if all goes well. He will have to pass certain thresholds and tests before he can fully train so pretty unlikely he comes back 'too soon'. Also I feel like it's more hamstring injuries that have recurrent issues if people try to come back to sport too soon.

Peter Wallace with the super human recovery. I wonder if it was the same knee & he actually came back too soon.?
Historically we're really slow, or maybe just cautious. Tohu & Ale didn't play for 10 months & Vaimauga was 9
