OKI'm not questioning the support we will get. I'm questioning the amount of time players are away from home for a team that travels the most and has the least amount of nights at home in familiar surroundings for our players

Probably when there's another NZ team and we're not trying to represent the whole country anymore. Let the sheep shaggers give up their home game in magic round instead.I get the desire to build the clubs fan base and reward out if town fans with a game every now and then. But.....When do we, as a club, make a call and say we are going to give ourselves the best chance of winning this season? No home game for magic round, no home games taken on the road. Pure focus on what gives us the best chance of winning, what makes it hardest for our opposition to win.
The Storm might implode and become easybeats when the cops raid their compound and rescue the cult victims. Gotta have a dream in the offseason. It’s easy to call any draw easy or hard based on the previous years performances but there’s no guarantee that will be the case the next season with some teams rising up the ladder and all sorts of factors
You think they will Storm them? The Storm might implode and become easybeats when the cops raid their compound and rescue the cult victims. Gotta have a dream in the offseason.
But there were 3 organisations bidding for the SI rights. Still competition in that aspect, and even with Perth, the NRL has shown they will play hardball.Really interesting article selector.
They could also mitigate the loss of games by allowing more teams into the playoffs and having an extra week of playoffs,
I wonder who will be the 20th team. Seems like the South Island has little competition now PNG and Perth have their bids confirmed.
There was also a third Brisbane team by memory. But there were 3 organisations bidding for the SI rights. Still competition in that aspect, and even with Perth, the NRL has shown they will play hardball.
The SI bid needs to be up to scratch as they won’t be gifted anything.
There was also a third Brisbane team by memory.
Was there anyone else? I think the Bears/North Sydney have given up and pitched in with Perth.
A brand new covered stadium in a rugby nursery is going to be a compelling case for the NRL.To my knowledge, there are only really 3 "proper" bids- the Newtown Jets with the Ipswich Jets, announced in August of last year, the Kea bid, and the Orcas bid, which may or may not be combined with the third, smaller "SINRLB" bid.
That said, 8 bids were apparently turned down in October of last year, so there must be at least a couple making moves in the background.
It will be hard enough to beat out a SEQ/Foundation Club bid on its own, factor in that the SI bids are a shit show, and it will be an uphill battle.. If only I won lotto on Saturday : (
I think the South Island and Wellington have no chance unless they merge.A brand new covered stadium in a rugby nursery is going to be a compelling case for the NRL.
They just need to uncover the right people to set it up and it will quickly become a favourite.

Yeah right...remove Vegas as it's effectively a 2 week allowance and the excessive 40 hrs and what does that bring. Add in the actual time spent on international flights check in windows (2 hrs), customs, immigration hassle etc and endless time changes. Like accountants, they can make the numbers say what they want it to say. And shocking really about Tigers and Eels. Add Brisbane 14 home games into this and the real picture becomes far clearer. You can see this being used for the next 2-3 years as 'Warriors are not the hardest done by'.![]()
