Pick Your Team Manly v Warriors - [Round 27, 2025]

NZWarriors.com

Unfortunately Manly have a higher performance ceiling than the Eels. Manly is inconsistent but have so much speed that they can shred a team quite easily and seem to be looking like they are in that mood!

The choice here is whether we try TMM as starting 7 or not, I think it's the only choice - I love Taine, but we've seen him at 1, and for one reason or another he hasn't passed the test for Webster - there's no question we need more variety in attack so your choices are TMM or TT... I think we see TMM come in for Boyd this week

You might well be right but not a good time of the year for messing with the halves combination

Concerning thing in the end of game talks was Webster saying to Egan at halftime to just give him 10 more minutes. He seems to be struggling a bit and that cold loss of the ball in that set restart was really uncharacteristic. TMM seems to be coming in as dummy half replacement and that might be viewed as too valuable?

It has been said before but....the obvious option is the pairing of TMM and Boyd. Worked well in cup, plenty of running game.

CHT to fourteen.

I think Cuddle's is muddled. TMM to 7 was the right call (perhaps the wrong game to do it against the dogs) and then he decides it is Boyd after all. It's almost like TMM getting injured/HIA reinforced his opinion that he needs that utility player in the bench despite overall it not being the best thing for the team.

Are we back to an SJ/Tohu type situation where he is playing these guys like Egan despite them clearly not being right and having other options that could be played instead. We are limping in to the finals for the second time in three years

Almost feel like someone in the management staff was pushing for TMM at 7 so the decision maker decided to put him there knowing it’s wet af all week in Sydney to prove it’s the wrong call 😂 Designed to fail on purpose, otherwise who in the right mind drop the traditional kicker on a rainy night

That would be disastrous if true, some real machiavellian bs which only would be poisonous for the club

Leka burnt out until he was put back to bench where he should be

Egan looking like a zombie in the weekend

Clark also playing way too long too but he’s so tough

Ford is not a Barney but kept playing 60 minutes including 20 junk error filled minutes

Berry repeatedly hurt coming back too early through the year

Metcalf playing with a quad injury mid year

Barney - they’ve basically conceded by preventing Cape from backing up post SOO

Listing it out actually showed the disastrous consequences of continuing Tohu/SJ burnout retirement strategy

This needs to be the no.1 reflection in the off season, so obvious even the public can see it

Voss just mentioned that the Bulldogs aren’t expected to rest players. Surely we have to try for the win and expect that the Storm and the Bulldogs will win next week? Maybe just rest Egan and CNK?
lol. TAB took down the game next week.
Sharks ($1.30) vs Bulldogs ($3.30)

Should have jumped on it while I had a chance.
The Brisbane v Melbourne odds are way closer than I was anticipating.

Raiders are sizeable underdogs to the Dolphins. Raiders would be crazy not to rest half their team.

Thought Tanah Boyd probably used Halasima most effectively out of our halves so far in this one. Nice ball to put him through and a kick that looked like it’d gone too far but Halasima made something of it. Halasima has an amazing knack of just out competing whoever he’s up against. Vaimauga was asked during the week in some footage of the first time he saw Halasima and he had this story of a schoolboy game and Halasima taking a kick from the sideline to win the game. The accolades are going to come thick and fast now with these sorts of questions. Hopefully he stays grounded and teammates don’t get their nose out of joint for all the attention he’s getting

I watched 2 Broke Usos with Leka on YouTube last night. He comes across as decent young man. A lot of laughing and carrying on by the hosts and Leka looks a bit shy but he held his own.

I can't see many changes for the Manly game. I'd love to see a big shake up but I can't see Webby doing anything rash.
Tuapiki isn't the fullback answer. Iongi showed on Friday night what a real up and coming fullback looks like. TT has been tried and he didn't make the position his own. So Charnze for fullback and the rest of the backs as usual.
In fact the rest of the team as usual apart from injuries.

Run the nsw cup team. We’re finishing 6th. Storm and bulldogs will rest their teams so we’re very unlikely to beat manly and bust into the 4. Unless NSW cup are playing next week it’s a good reward for that team. Keep berry and Boyd TMM and a few of the forwards in, but give our players a rest and let’s get up for the Panthers or roosters at home.
Absolutely rest majority, give Reggie’s a taste of top stuff. We play Panthers or Roosters at home and would love to knock that arrogant prick Ivan Cleary out on his ass.
