📝 Summary:

The forum thread extensively discusses Donald Trump's legal battles and his 2024 presidential campaign, centering on fraud convictions, election eligibility disputes, and broader political implications. A central focus is the New York fraud case where Trump was fined over $350 million and barred from business roles, as outlined in #358, alongside ongoing debates about his appeal strategies. Excuse my ignorance but what has Washington State got to do with anything currently happening with Trump's admin? J6 occurred in Washington DC and Trump's latest rhetoric is all about DC isn't it? Kash Patel claims the murder rate in DC is at a 30 year low so why the need for the National Guard?
Because of chain of command and who can deploy what.
I made no mention of WHY.

If I read your response correctly you seem to be saying that he can deploy in DC because the law allows but couldn't on Jan 6 because the law didn't allow ... and here I'm not following your argument but assume you to be saying .... because the Capitol is in Washington State and the law doesn't allow it.
I made no comment as to Jan 6th. Where did this assertion that he didnt deploy them on Jan 6th come from?

While Trump may have issued directives before January 6 to prepare for potential unrest, he did not personally authorize the National Guard deployment during the riot itself. That decision appears to have been made by other officials, notably Vice President Pence, after initial resistance from Trump.

My post was a precise provided by AI after asking it to summarise whether or not the NF was deployed by DT

The link you refer to is an attempt by DT and his sidekicks to rewrite history 3 years after the event

At least let’s have some credibility

You cant post an AI response and then make a credibility critique. 😂

I haven’t made the the claim that DT deployed NG during the 6th. Although as it would have been under Title 10 or Title 32, the Pres is the ultimate authority.

Only State Active Duty gives a governor the right to deploy NG and that’s usually alway natural disasters.

Why do you think he's doing this now with the NG in the capital district, is it performative or a genuine response to the crime rate?

Not once in this article is DT mentioned
Lastly I notice you didnt comment on the NYT piece, which is as far from supportive of Trump as you can get.. Quote..

The closed-door interviews, combined with those conducted by the Democratic-led House Jan. 6 Committee and other panels during the previous Congress, have produced the most complete record to date of why the Guard took more than four hours to respond on that fateful day. The picture is far from a flattering one: A miscommunication between Christopher C. Miller, the secretary of defense at the time, and Ryan D. McCarthy, the secretary of the Army, resulted in each man leaving a critical exchange on the afternoon of Jan. 6 with a different understanding of how quickly the Guard would be deployed — and who would give word that it was authorized.
