Why do people comment on American policies without the first bit of knowledge. Its in regards to Washington DC ie district, not Washington state. Laws are provisioned to allow the Pres to take over the local police. He would have used that authority to deploy NG.
The US has states, districts and territories. The laws governing them are separate

Excuse my ignorance but what has Washington State got to do with anything currently happening with Trump's admin? J6 occurred in Washington DC and Trump's latest rhetoric is all about DC isn't it? Kash Patel claims the murder rate in DC is at a 30 year low so why the need for the National Guard?

If I read your response correctly you seem to be saying that he can deploy in DC because the law allows but couldn't on Jan 6 because the law didn't allow ... and here I'm not following your argument but assume you to be saying .... because the Capitol is in Washington State and the law doesn't allow it.
