For years we had to put up with blocker and others crowing about the “big Warriors pack” but finally it is true. Even with injuries our forward pack has a great balance.

The bulldogs love to twist opposition players and try and wrestle all the flow out of the opposition. I hope we have taken our angry pills and the find we are too big and strong.

It would be a great day to put the comp on notice that we are still a threat

Dogs really struggled in the wet last week, they didn't adjust to the conditions for whatever reason and kept trying to go wide. Hopefully that continues, but Ciraldo isn't a mug.

I'd say the wet plays into our hands if we were in early season low error form. But our error rate seems to have crept back up since the form drop post Sharks game.

I'm not sold on Boyd's defence it's pretty how ya going if we are being honest. I fear for him against Burton/Kikau combo today. Easily the biggest/strongest running pair hes come up against since his Warriors debut and has been struggling on D.

Honestly no idea what will happen, but this is regular season win I've wanted all year after last year at Accor. Hope the boys fire up in the wet, and for the love of Heyzeus no more injuries, please.

We've won 5 of our last 9 games under Gee but lost the last 2. Bulldogs have won 5 of their last 12 with Gee but they're on a 5 game streak.

The myth of us having a "monster" pack continues. The Dogs are considered a light pack but here's the comparison:

Ford 101kg - King 104
JHF 103kg - Hughes 111
Niukore 106kg - Kikau 116
Capewell 100kg - Preston 100
Clark 98kg - Salmon 96

Halasima 100kg - Hayes 102
Vaimauga 104kg - Curran 104
TSS 95kg (more like 105?) - Mann 88

In the wet its less about speed.
Size dominates and a small packs will get smashed

We have no advantage in the wet.

Been looking forward to this game all season.

I had us losing a lot of games folk thought we should win and winning this game (all season I have had us a good chance in this fixture).

The Dogs do not have the blinding three quarter line speed that threats like the Dolphins and Titans offer the Warriors.

They do not have those teams unpredictability.

The main threat they pose is conventional, and therefore the task for the Warriors is to remain on task for eighty minutes.

Unfortunately that is a lot harder without the experienced NRL players we are missing, but the solution is still in our own hands, young guns aim up, and aim up for the game of your lives off the ball.

Do that and we will take these clones out.

Id take the weights posted with a grain of salt. From both the journeyman podcast and levels, it sounds like they just tell them what to put down at the start of the preseason. No real measurements made.

True. As inaccurate as they may be, the Bulldogs pack, often referred to as lightweight, will contain the 2 biggest blokes on the field tonight

Lets go Warriors bingo fans.
  • Looking for the refs to square up the narrative by penalizing innocuous high shots only to get carried away and favour the Bulldogs with an 8-1 penalty count.
  • Someone will run their head at Marata's shoulder and get him binned.
  • Leka will get coached by the ref the whole game about pushing up at marker.
  • Not a single pass from dummy half will get called forward.
  • Random Roll-Ball penalty in the last 20 to kill the fightback momentum
  • Taine's kick returns will get called surrender tackles killing any PTB momentum.
  • Dogs lie all over the ruck. Ref gets mad at Ford for milking.
  • Dal goes for a stupidly late offload and nobody is ready, losing possession.
  • Rog drops one cold.
  • Crichton gets away with a stiff arm to the head.
  • Dogs score from long range by punching in behind the ruck.
  • Kikau scores by using Boyd as a speed bump.
Please let me know if there are any other injustices I've missed.
Our half gets hit late resulting in a play on call from the ref.

Thank goodness! I thought it was just me fizzing for this one.
I’ve thought - at full strength - both have really similar Penrith-esque game style - kick the corners, hyper line-speed and aggression with smaller forwards, then wait til the other team cracks.
Overall, I think we’ve slightly got the better forward pack, they’re slightly better in the backs. Spines - without Lukey Met, gotta just give it to the Doggies

I've got a feeling.

Tonight's gunna be a good night.
…. Cue Bee Gees walking to the Stadium for tonight’s game
