Titans forum when I scoped it last year after we first acquired him said he is a capable defender. Most years his tackle efficiency is around 85%.A criticism of Metcalf is he can play a bit sideways sometimes but I think if Boyd can play direct and go deep into the line, the team could benefit. I liked his honesty on SJ’s league lounge when SJ asked him how to stop a full speed Latrell Mitchell, he said try your best or words to that effect and finally said be a speed bump. Think he’s going to get a lot of traffic his way
Without Metcalf who’s been scoring tries and been great with his support play, I’d like to see Tuaupiki always in support of the ball carrier. He’d be quickest in the team without Metcalf, don’t think Boyd is slow either thoughTitans forum when I scoped it last year after we first acquired him said he is a capable defender. So I hope for our sake he proves his worth. I have a suspicion Webster would not have picked him if his defence was a question mark as Webby has always been high on defence.
Yes 100% to this point "A criticism of Metcalf is he can play a bit sideways sometimes but I think if Boyd can play direct and go deep into the line," Boyd has the ability to create elite level shapes. He is a genuine organising half. Which is something we haven't had since Blake Green. If Boyd really comes off I can see some of our old school fans - who grew up with old school rugby league wiping tears away from their eyes with the memories that come back of what rugby league is really supposed to look like.
This could be a real treat, or a real let down and probably somewhere in between. But let's hope Boyd for everyone's sake can be the man he was born to be. Let's back him 100%. He is now our dog in the fight.
What gave it away!?You don't approve JN?
Next thing he’ll be saying he’s being played out of position and disappear sulking when he hits the dally m leaderboardWhat gave it away!?
I wasn't disappointed with the team in fact much as I was expectingWhat gave it away!?
Yeah he has got that experience and as much as Dallins in no mans land in D.Good to see Dallin straight back not even in the extended squad first, finishing off tries literally is the difference between a massive morale boosting win and a forgettable loss, that’s the minimum expectation for our wingers
Has Laban played in the middle at all?
im happy with the team named, hopefully Capes is all good to play.... have we won after a bye? will be tough game but i just think we have more experience to get us over the top
