It's actually a window into how outlets like nzherald and stuff work. For the most part lazy journalism given how much they've cut back on actual journalists, poor editorial control and directives from their right wing owners to favour click bait
Both of those outlets, although they have some great individual journalists, are very right leaning and tend to support the neoliberal orthodoxy. NZME in particular throws it's weight behind Act and National more than any other political spectrum.
