I might get flamed here but it strikes me at 6ft and 105 kg could be a bit slight in stature to be a dominant prop anytime soon, he looks a bit dwarfed by some of the bigger packs, he's a few years off being Spencer Leniu. Watch him become an instant destroyer now though, Gus is a very good judge of talent and they don't seem to be stacked with props so he should get some games.
The usual come back to this line of logic is that JFH is those dimensions.

However yes I agree with you in principal which is I why I don't want Pahulu as a replacement who was mentioned earlier. He is 106kgs and 184 cms. Francis molo at 184 cms and 113kgs doesn't move the needle much either in my view especually if he will be wanting 600K. Maybe for $300K we could have a discussion. Josh Alouia 106kgs and 189 cms and I have never been remotely impressed by him and view him as one of the reasons Manly have not gone to the next level. Maybe they have figured that out now too.

Aloiai would have been at tigers when Webster spent time there, perhaps he was impressed? Sounds strongly like it’s Sipley now anyway

I don't think we need a prop and should instead replace what we lost in Tohu and get an up and coming lock who can also play edge.

We are thin as fuck at lock and at edge. What happens to us if Capewell gets injured for 5 games? What happens if Clark and Walker both, shock horror, get injured?

We don't need a prop - Ale AND Bunty AND Ford are good enough to be our injury cover at prop. Some of you don't like Bunty (not you Noitall but others) he is fine for depth and will be very valuable to us for 7-8 games this year.

Feel like a lot of our pack has played in multiple forward positions over the years, but just sometimes are the victims of circumstance like Niukore last year that seemed bulked up for the middle but had to go back to an edge because of injuries. Many configurations of how our pack can be used

That's why we should've loaned him out. It's win win for the lender.

He goes any good you bring him back. He goes rubbish well at least it was in someone else's first grade team.
Why would any serious team agree to play him for 2 years and return him to us? Specially when he's not a guaranteed starter or a proven match winner?

Only a basket case like the Tigers would take the bait from a smart operator like the Storm. And it ended up with Harry Grant going back home and Naufaluma wanting out too.

COVID loans 😁

Need a prop? Short on leverage.

Who knows.

Why does it have to be for two years. Knights wanted him for a year, give him for the year.

If he doesn't want to come back tough shit.

We gave Jesse Arthars plenty of first grade reps then he pissed off back to the Bronx, you cited the Harry Grant example, so why can't the Warriors benefit from it?

The kid seems like he has roots firmly in Auckland and with other players at the warriors. If he pops off I'm sure he'll be back after 2 years as long as the warriors also keeps the rest of that Junior playing group.

I would have said, your 21, we have huge hopes for you in a warriors jersey.

We think you are behind Barnett and J F Harris, you and Demitric Vaimauga are our two rotation props for the next two seasons, we see you both stepping up even more when Barnetts contract is up, by that time you should be let's say 30 to 40 games in and 23.

By then we want you to be at least a 30 to 40 min prop with JFH, Demitric Vaimauga and yourself in the rotation, for now just lead the pack in cup with Bunty. You are first cab when there are injuries and there will be injuries!

Look at what the Panthers have done with Smith and Henry! There is a pathway here for him, upgrade him slightly even to show you mean business.

Mate we want you here for the long term!

I would expect the standard spiel at the Warriors goes along the same lines. The timing suggest to me that there was some issue with the player as well, because we have said no to letting players go under Webster.
