What are peoples thoughts on Zyon Maiu’u's first game? I couldn't watch all the game which is probably not a bad thing lol but he runs with intend which is not a bad thing for a prop.
His runs were just hard and direct and no hint of a handbrake.

Certainly lifted the crowd, and seemed to inspire his team mates to run it a bit harder as well.

Was watching what he was doing off the ball as well, and he was working hard from marker, making his tackles when he had to. wasnt shirking defensively......i was worried he was going to blow himself out too early but credit to him. a debut to be proud of.

Wrestled back the momentum with his quick off the mark power runs, needs to be in the team for the rest of the season

Right I wasn't planning to but will watch the reply now. Will likely fast forward to him coming on as some of the middle shit is just painful. Hopefully he gets more FG as he could be a key player when JFH comes here.

Do that, you'll save yourself a lot of pain. For context tho from about the 10 minute mark until he gets on momentum is all with the Tits and we looked flat and clueless how to wrest it back.

I can’t remember a debutant getting a roar like that from the crowd as they came on, everyone knew who it was before even the ground announcer said it was him coming on.

His first run was big too, but his first take off at the kickoff had everyone around me standing up for it. If he tried running from any further back he'd have been in the first row of the south stand lol, truly off the back fence stuff

Webby will probably send him back down once Jazz/Bunty are back, but when a guy can come on with energy like that, for the crowd and on the field, there needs to be a place for him in the 17 week in, week out.

Yeah I was really impressed. Thought he looked a bit gassed in those last few minutes, but overall that's all you can ask of a young up and comer.

I'd like to see Zyon Maiu’u come on late in the first half for a few minutes, then gets the halftime break and gets about 15 after half time before being subbed off.
I agree with this should have come on when afb or Barnett first comes off play 10-15 mins either side of half. Had much more impact than ale who I don’t think is a prop. Overall a very good debut from zyon and deserves to hold a spot in 17 until niukore returns
