Actually that's not right for the dolphins game. We got pumped on all stats and still won.Yes I agree, we won those games off superior kicking metres. So we can win without AFB but only if we have a metre kicker.

I have a different view. I think they were won off of possession. I think it was the Panthers game we we completed close to 40 sets. That’s going to be tough for most teams to compete with, as long as you are doing something with the ball in hand. Kicking metres is a difficult gauge. If you are making good metres up field then your kicking metres at the end of the game will be small. For example 2023 Bulldogs had massive kick metres because of Burton but were an awful side. Even if you look at when CHT and TMM were paired together we had a lot of close losses. It was probably the quality of the short kicking game that hurt us more than the depth of kicksYes I agree, we won those games off superior kicking metres. So we can win without AFB but only if we have a metre kicker.
And the Panthers game TMM kicked for 600m+Actually that's not right for the dolphins game. We got pumped on all stats and still won.
Mainly because Charnze was his halves partnerAnd the Panthers game TMM kicked for 600m+
Yes, but it shows that TMM can kick for large metres per game. I guess the key point I have been trying to make is that we need to score more points than our opposition and while having a player with a longer kicking game is a nice to have, it isn't more important when it's to the detriment of being able to score points. SJ has a long kicking game and we were abysmal last season with him at 7. AFB makes good metres but we won our best games without his input. I think we should wait and see what this team can deliver before writing off players and the teamMainly because Charnze was his halves partner
One thing I noticed is he often kicks to space too, which is handy to give defenders time to get to the playerAnd the Panthers game TMM kicked for 600m+
Why?Yip hand him the keys
Yeah, not sure if it's good luck or good play. Might be a mix of both! One thing I noticed is he often kicks to space too, which is handy to give defenders time to get to the player
That one where TMM was hit high and late was a shocker. Went back to normal transmission largely last yearJust saying
In 23 We were pretty average until someone stuck it to the refs.
After that we got many favourable decisions.
Hold the Refs accountable every game and we will do alright.
Which to be 7?Get to the TAB and put your $$ on a Metcalf and CHT halves combo to kick the year off … it’s a happening thing !
A good source too
Well firstly we don’t have anyone better so there’s not much choice but also I just think he’s done his apprenticeship and is ready to take the reins- I think he’s got the goods and we don’t have much choice but to go all in on him this year. Why?
In the NRL he has kicked 10 Goals
In NRL Preseason 5 goals
In Reserve Grade 49 goals
Why give him the keys based on that level of experience as a goal kicker
Oh dear....Get to the TAB and put your $$ on a Metcalf and CHT halves combo to kick the year off … it’s a happening thing !
A good source too
Can someone please check in on inruin?Get to the TAB and put your $$ on a Metcalf and CHT halves combo to kick the year off … it’s a happening thing !

Better check in with a lot of people I think. Out of all the potential combos that would be just ahead of a CHT/Boyd one.Can someone please check in on inruin?
