Yeah, without a doubt you've described what we'd expect to see historically. But the club is backing their development pathways and seeing very positive results.Yep, I totally get that. Just thought it might make better sense to bring Cup guys in slowly, ie: bring them up for a few games then give them a week back in cup, because it will take time to get used to the change of pace. You've got a pretty much like for like replacement there who could have slotted in without any disruption, and hopefully the result would have been fresh players raring to go each game. The gameplan relies on high completion rate and tackle % which has all been a bit flakey in recent months with some players looking out of sorts.
Too late now, but just something I noticed.
Agreed that at times they have indeed looked flaky, case in point Demetric against Manly was very disappointing. But also, I think he's only missed 1 or 2 games this year and due to unavailable team selections these young guns have contributed immensely to our top 4 placing for the bulk of the season.
That's massive!
So the club is all in on being a development club, kudos to ownership and management..
