Pick Your Team Warriors vs Penrith [Finals , Week 1 2025]

Yep, I totally get that. Just thought it might make better sense to bring Cup guys in slowly, ie: bring them up for a few games then give them a week back in cup, because it will take time to get used to the change of pace. You've got a pretty much like for like replacement there who could have slotted in without any disruption, and hopefully the result would have been fresh players raring to go each game. The gameplan relies on high completion rate and tackle % which has all been a bit flakey in recent months with some players looking out of sorts.

Too late now, but just something I noticed.
Yeah, without a doubt you've described what we'd expect to see historically. But the club is backing their development pathways and seeing very positive results.

Agreed that at times they have indeed looked flaky, case in point Demetric against Manly was very disappointing. But also, I think he's only missed 1 or 2 games this year and due to unavailable team selections these young guns have contributed immensely to our top 4 placing for the bulk of the season.
That's massive!

So the club is all in on being a development club, kudos to ownership and management..

The Panthers entered the comp in 1967 and didnt make the playoff's until 1985.
Thats a drought.
Warriors made it in their 6th season (should of been season 1)

Just watched SJ’s speech. Wow did not inspire confidence 😂 “something’s brewing the way they’ve playing” (paraphrase) 😂 Sorry SJ I’ve seen too much, I see things 😭

Lucky NRL and Fox doing their best to fire the boys up today

Baha I kinda get it.

I feel like over the last month we've had really good periods of play for 10-15 minutes at a time, sometimes even 25 minutes or so.

Our problem is that at other times during those games we are deplorable - dropped balls coming out of our own end, multiple repeat sets, poor penalties and ends to our sets.

I don't even think we need to play out of our skin to win, we just need to cut out the really bad errors and penalties. If we are able to play reasonably well, complete our sets, get good kick chases and take some of our opportunities well be in it with 15 minutes to go.

Weve got it in us, no doubt.

Would be pretty fucking cool to be the team to end the Penny dynasty tho. Get it done boys

All about concentration and intensity.
We are never going to run through/around them and we will have to get into the wrestle and stick with them or we are fxxked

His return was changed to indefinite the week of Round 25, when he was meant to return.

Indefinite is pretty ominous, but after 4 weeks, and staring down the barrel of having to reshuffle.. could be one of those ones where, if it weren't for Rocco being injured and it being a finals game, they probably wouldn't play him.

Suppose we only have a couple more hours to wait and see.

Also, I imagine Barnett was probably tongue-in-cheek when he said Jett might be named on the extended bench, but it would be tier 1 shit stirring from Webby if he did lol, get a rumour started that Te Maire and Boyd are under injury clouds while you are at it
