Pick Your Team Warriors vs ?? [Finals , Week 1 2025]

Pretty sure shoulder AC joint injuries are pretty common and often played through with some needling. Wouldn't be surprised if EIT makes way for Ford, even though he's been our best young gun the last couple weeks.

TSS is not there yet as a starting prop, OK for a 20 minute bench guy though. We are really lacking a big ball carrying middle ATM to compliment JFH. Ford should help out there a little. Frustrating watching Marata looking like a bad mofo out there, then run 7 times a game with 0 post contact metres.

CNK is looking so slow, I assume he's playing through injury, but having no zip at the back really limits our attack, especially with our current halves. But I don't know if Taine is the answer. They might slide CNK to take over Berry, and Taine at the back?

We need Healey on the bench next week. he was our only spark last night. TMM doesn't offer enough IMO.

I think that's the best we could probably do, no way Webster would change the halves.

Really stumped as to who plays centre for us. Would be amazing if Ali was back. I don't think we move Leka there, one of our best attacking weapons barely got a chance on attack at centre last night, and kinda stuffs with our plan of an impact bench.
Maybe EIT if he recovers well enough?

Or do we go for the hail Mary and bring in Fatialofa or Kali for this game? Imo there's nothing to lose, and would be great learning for a player that we plan to have in our FG team for a long time.

Watched the presser with webby saying Leka a shining light. Wonder if he plans to use him again at center?
Yeah, I think it will be Halasima or CNK ahead of Capewell. I personally thought Halasima's positioning on defence was excellent (making Dallin's decisions all the more mindnumbing). Webby won't look to reserve grade.

Hats off to Leka too. Positioning at centre takes a high footy IQ, which on top of his physical x-factor and age is bloody impressive.

Boyd/Capewell etc. always looks half a pace off.

I hope it's not CNK, to be honest he's either fullback or left right out currently. Doesn't do enough from centre, and is about a 7 out of 10 on defence.
Leka I think would do as good a job as he did last night, but as expected, a 19 year old who doesn't predominantly play center was solid and not much more. I don't think that is worth losing out on his regular, attacking game. No one was able to get him one on one or exploit his attack.
If centre is something they are seriously considering for Leka long term, he has a whole off season to learn that

When I think back to us getting over the panthers last year, Tuaupiki was instrumental. I think I’d consider Tuaupiki fullback and CNK centre. Tough one though because Halasima is our biggest threat at the moment

Can anyone form a counter arguement as to why we shouldn't just play Halasima on the left hand side & move Capewell to the right side workhorse style role?
Halasima has scored tries on both sides this year but he carries the ball in his left arm and we shouldn't be wasting his energy on the right side kick chase. Look back to CHT's try against the Dragons where Leka was swatting off multiple guys, drew & passed to RTS (granted it wasn't a great pass) but he created an opportunity out of nothing.

CNK hasn't played right Centre all year, and the only time I've ever seen him on that edge was Rd 26 last year (120m, 2 linebreaks, 6 tackle breaks) but I'd put him there this week rather than asking Pompey to switch.

Healey to start because if he doesn't he'll probably be waiting 60 minutes before he gets on.
