So glad that there's no Fifita and Tino out there on Saturday. No LKP for them also helps given that he gassed us in both games last year. Still, there's a lot of size and speed left in this squad. Happy with our squad. We all know what webby was going to do with CNK vs TT, so there's no real surprises here. Capewell had an off game last week which I put down to some niggling injuries/rustiness coming out of origin. I think he'll be back to his reliable defensive self this week.

Tits have nothing to lose and Des could possibly coach his last game this week if some of the rumors are to be believed. I expect them to rally behind Des just as Newcastle rallied behind AOB on Sunday. We've already used our get-out-of-jail free card. If the boys need any reason to not take them lightly, just make them watch highlights from the last match:

A bit weird hearing Ali is playing 1 and 6 at cup wonder if he actually need to play centre again to put it together before coming up to FG

Nothing to back this up but I seem to remember when we have played on Sunday it's more likely that someone named in number 18-23 ends up playing as they've had bugger all time to train as recovery sessions are their initial priority post game before they have to name their squad

I can't remember the situations. Might be the special games like ANZAC Day etc where teams basically name the same side due to time constraints. Get the team named on time and then look at the wider squad as the week progresses.

For us playing on a Sunday and I assume travelling back to NZ on the Monday would mean we name guys we expect to be back like CNK. While naming others who they might still be asessing how they recover from the weekend.

DWZ is horribly out of form but Tuaupiki's lack of height & physicality on the Wing can't help his cause at selection meeting or his time spent defending alongside Capewell in that match earlier in the year. Tbf when we were under the most pressure against the Cowboys it was when Niukore shifted to Second Row. There's been a revolving cast around Marata all season but his lack of lateral movement exacerbates things for the blokes outside him

Niukore with lateral issues, revolving door at centre, Tanah isn't A1 like CHT, DWZ prone to making bad decisions. It's not on one player, it's culmative with all of them adding their different deficiencies.

Webby won't drop DWZ, that's just not something he'll do. He'll hope he can find form before the finals.

Moving Pompey to the right seems like the best case scenario. Either Capewell or Ali on the left I'm not fussed. Berry is back Rnd 25 it says, but surely that ship has sailed for the season.

Tanah's super power is his in-play kicking game within the red zone. We need to stack both sides of the field to give hime targets. Leka, Pompey & Laban offer those.

This is right.

Tanah is great at bombing the Try line and Grubbering (two beautiful attacking kicks last game even) and there are three forwards in this team that chase kicks for Try's like hounds, Leka Laban Dimitric.

It will come.

There will be Try's lots of them.

It is hard to gauge where Ali stands. Was playing at 6 a way to get him invokved and out of his comfort zone. Then assess bun at training this week. We need him but he needs to put the effort in.

As for DWZ, put an electric dog collar on him and if he cones in zap him. Titans are very fasr, he needs lo stay wide.
