People talking about our attack being rushed, I don’t agree. We settled plenty of times mid field setting up lots of great platforms for our halves.

We just completely lack shape or structure to create gaps. Metcalf is a great solo opportunist but has only 4 try assists all year. I actually like CHT’s kicking game in the 20 but again his strength is opportunistic kicking. Opportunistic rather than breaking down defences.

Webster seems to ignore practising attacking plays and we obviously focus 100% on defence to win games.
My opinion is that we probably went out wide too much without getting the likes of Marata and Capewell dropping back on unders and against the grain in the wet slippery conditions. Dallin got jammed against the sidelines and then a wild pass on the inside rather than getting bundled out .
We lack patience and tried to score without building pressure
Anyway the alphas back next week and some lessons learned and the hype about winning is another lesson

I wouldn't mind seeing Boyd at 7 and Mets at 6. It won't happen, But having a legit 7 would help us in the opposition half. Instead of the cut back inside to Marata and hope he barges over play. Which is all we have lol
We got beat up and his platform was not very great. That said even though he tried, he didn't be "THAT GUY"

Hmph *Tips cap to those that picked them -12... Bastardos! 😁;)

Fartgo'y for mine. Didn't shine like Tamale did but did enough to count, outplayed Met'carve for sure. The seagulls be rubbin' their hands with evil intent. Hough!

We did enough to lose alright. That second half... our attack duplicates a slow leaking puncture, it's gonna get FLAT! And, it did, you could see it unfortunately. Weather was shit but no excuse. Defence is great but it let in That try (Fartgo'ys).

Small mention: Tamale was a beast tonight. He'll probs be a high scoring fantasy footy player but son, you didn't score, don't fly off spittin' tacks after a very close win (the camera shot of you, after the fulltime whistle, made my neck hairs go extreme intense.) You won young fulah be humble, ya C^nt!

We'll learn from this. We can't win them all. This was bound to happen at some pt. Maybe it was boring to a neutral observer but I thought it was a great power struggle between two of the best packs in the comp where neither side really gave an inch. The stats bear it out. They just played smarter than us and niggled their way to victory. It happens. We'll be back next week stronger against the bunnies with our captains back. Raiders looked tired too. I bet they play flat against the chooks next week. That's how this season is going.

On an unrelated note, the fox bias towards Canberra was so f**king annoying. Cronk was amplifying every error we made in the game as if it was the worst he had ever seen. Pomps offside call was dumb but he's hardly the first one to do it.

Our halves have no idea on attack. Metcalf is a greedy player. Trying the hero plays with nothing on. Channel, Is a defensive half. Nothing else.
Leka needs to come off the bench. He's an impact player.
Metcalf had zero platform to work off because our forward pack was getting dominated. Thats what it looks like when try to create when on the back foot.

I wouldn't say Leka is just an impact player. He may need his minutes adjusted while he's still adjusting to week in week out first grade.

His pay cheque hit ups where he got manhandled by older men was off the back of his securing his new contract this week.

Coaching staff need to fire a rocket up the team for allowing the Faders to put it over us. I wasn’t there but the crowd tonight sounded piss poor on Foxtel.

Like Man United fans sipping on tea and eating prawn sandwiches. I called for Leka to start from bench weeks ago, far more impact for us, Webster is so obsessed with getting games under players belts.

Ford, too many minutes, doesn’t miss tackles but allows 3 km post contact metres. What was obvious, we can’t see in a comp with the current 1 & 6. Please KP, come join us!
