I think this is the kind of the game i'd personally let wash out. Score looks good, but thats because the dragons are somehow playing below even last place. With a putrid attack, that bearly even punished our errors, injuries or just ill-displine in the ruck.

On the otherside, i think AKP, CHT, TSS, Healey, Taine and JFH (DWZ outside of the errors) all had a pretty great game.
AKP making some insane meters this game (getting close with DWZ but has a lot less runs on the board). Is showing that although he lacked in those effort areas while in the titans. He does not lack that here.
Healey looked awesome as soon as he came on, and reignited the game.
Taine, although diden't have any real highlights this game, his grunt work getting us out of our half has been fantastic.
TSS, pulling off a massive 47 min stint.
JFH with an even bigger 56.
And then ford played for the whole game.

Effort was shown. Which means they at least were never complacent. But fuck it was a dirty win.

Bit scrappy, bit messy, Dragons came out to spoil.....but good teams win these games.....and we're a good team.

The zesty boys all got a lesson on ball retention in these conditions.....still a bit to learn for them.

Dont know if it was a big F.U to Laurie Daley from Webby but Ford playing 2nd row for most of that game when Rog went off certainly felt like it.

2 points in the bank baby!!

Good win!
Those who watched cup will know its been soggy out there all afternoon.
Dallin and Ford take a bow,
Kahn played well too.
Epic to keep winning like this in a scrappy afair,
Don't really notice Halasima at all on offense we need to keep working on our structures for his injections.
I thought Te Maire touches were very good tonight made a few errors here and there but let him keep building as the no 7 he has all the tools.

I can't add anything to that other than to say it is good to win these ugly ones.
Obviously if we had a goal kicker we would be way ahead.

Thank goodness the season is still on track.

Team naming Tuesday is gonna be interesting, a few injuries to account for and the Metcalf situation.

Pretty clear Metcalf has to come in.

Te Maire is a better playmaker than both he and Chanel.

I would put Metcalf at six and find a spot for Channel, even if it is that center, rather than demote him to 14.

We don't have the best record against them and in the past we have slipped up against side when we are expected to win.

The conditions could have made it tricky.

Got the job done.

Now we need to assess some the injuries we picked up. Hopefully nothing long term. The RTS one looks a bit of a worry.

Game kinda shows the value having a player like TMM, CNK, Taine or Pompey on the bench over a hanson. Espeically without capes. Having just a half simply does not cover enough positions. And any of those i named their can fill in at 6 if need be.

Scrappy game but did what we needed. Short turnaround, weather, injuries, HIAs, shuffled backline and Dragons were up for it.

Pleasing thing was scoring well in the Dragon's 20.

TMM a couple of terrible kicks but 2 tries and his defensive work was massive, particularly on Leilua. Probably our best defensive halves combo. Metcalf better kicking game but not sure he is better in anything else?

Good win all things considered.
