Metcalf: A better game but just needs to be given more time. A few poor options at times and can be a bit clunky with set moves at times. More time needed but felt pleased for him to have a much better game.
I have been a fan of Luke but also his biggest critic. As you say needs time at 7 (as do all new 7s).
Huge improvement last night off better go forward. Will only improve with time with CHT.
When he gets his confidence up he could be anything as a 7.
Good effort by everyone. What a difference when everyone has a decent crack.

I love those two young boys. Leka is so powerful and awkward to tackle and Vaimauga is strong and has some mongrel. Both of them have heaps of potential. I think we need to work out how to use Leka on an edge because he has some power and dynamism. Great win again.
It was great when they came on how many times they left the Manly markers in disarray. That kind of power is just so valuable

Kudos to the boys, they showed heart & thoroughly deserved the win. A real confidence booster for our halves going forward.

Loved that we didn’t fold after some shocking decisions. We hung in there & took the win. Absolutely beautiful 😀

So glad Jazz isn’t with us anymore. His temper tantrums aren’t missed at all.

I should just enjoy the win but…

My question is - where was this intensity against Canberra and can they keep it up week in and week out? 💦

They looked like a team with a point to prove tonight but I worry this isn’t their norm.

Small pack, long season old bodies tells me this performance was a total outlier.

I guess we find out next week against the 🐔
Crossed my mind too

But NSW cup team
2 games 2 wins
Laban Bunty Tmm Ale Rocco Healy to name just a few putting pressure on if the cuddly first grade incumbents falter

I’d like to think the Vegas performance was par for the course for a Warriors team. In the history of the club, GF’s, Anzac Day, Live games on free to air, we have been like a deer in the headlights.

Great to wake up with a Lvl 12 hangover and knowing we belter Manly and showed the home form from 2023. It was AWOL last season. Raiders ambushed us and had a decent game plan with the offloads.

I’d suggest that was on the coaching staff playing Ford and saying publicly, we are ready for the Raiders to play right through us. Hope Webby learnt from that. Last night was a good turnaround.

Going to be an interesting season after 2 red hot faves got dusted last night.

I think Clark starting made a huge difference as did Egan upping the tempo. The first player
I noticed hit the line at pace was Clark and with line speed on D. Then it seemed Barney, JFH quickly followed suit.

I lifted my confidence we might win when I saw Fish in the warm ups. He visually looks inspirational. I felt like flying to Auckland and running on the field to follow him into battle.

On the bench use of Leka and Vaimauga - as the season wears on Webster will give them more minutes and obviously of an injury strikes then they will move up the bench rotation pecking order. Finallly having them out there fresh in the final twenty gave us good energy during the championship minutes.

Great win !!! I hope for the competition's sake thar DCE and Turbo pull up ok.

What. ....

The hell did I just watch?
This was the best 80 minutes performance I have seen ever from a Warriors' team (and I have never missed one). However, don't be fooled into a false sense of security. It came after a dreadful game in Las Vegas (and the inevitable bounce-back) against a team brimming with (over) confidence after a fantastic game last week. Also note we benefited from a very much lop-sided penalty and six again.
Next week's game against the surprise winning Roosters should attract a full house. If they can repeat this performance, it would show us to be genuine contenders.
