With 2 fullbacks and 3 centres we won with zero wingers and our marquee signing and a whole bunch of mid level wouldn't get a start at any other club guys.

Winning in itself is a challenge. But winning cold night games, wet rainy night games and being where we are after 7 games is so much further ahead than I envisaged pre season.

Yeah
But CNK played a better game at number one than the million dollar much wanted by fans on here Ponga

Cowboys like to ride us ( I hope you like that reference)
But this side can be the bull that drops them in under 6 seconds.
We're 2nd on the ladder 🪜 ppl
Something tells me you worked on this post for a while. Good mahi.

And yes stoked to be 2nd on the ladder.

Overall great win. Well done Warriors.

Flat boring scrappy game but we got the 2 win.
Great game from Capewell again he's winding back the clock,
With Egan, Clark, and Ford tonight had superior effort.
Looked like a midweek game from the 80s at Carlaw Park. Greasy surface and a lot of crash and bash. Should have been an afternoon game at 3pm. 1pm Sydney time. Still massive ups to the Chch crowd and the dude at half time. Last game at that stadium before they hit the new one in 26.

Let’s make Anzac Day game a fixture in Nz but afternoon is best.

Be a pretty boring game for the neutral, ol’ Kasey badge getting the microscope out, lots of bomb to Pompey.

Metcalf plays with heaps of effort, how many halfbacks are scrambling to the corner to save tries.

Good to see leka start and also a good reality check that he won’t just break the line for tries every week.

Poor old knights looked like the late stage Kearney teams, toiling away but no idea how to score points.

Two players that I reckon are getting unfair criticism tonight

Pompey - had a big hand in 3 of our tries and is usually safe in the air and safe in defence. Yes, he's a bit slow, but still a great player for us with such an outside back crisis right now.

Ponga - what's he gonna do in that Knights team right now? Front foot ball for us running off our plays and he'd be great I think. In fact I think there'd be a few good players looking at us right now knowing that they might be the missing piece. I reckon we need one big signing to get 1 or 2 more as players look for the next big premiership contender.

I reckon O BRIEN the knights coach has lost the dressing room
I don't think he has. Their defence has been pretty good really and that's the first thing to show any problems with attitude. They just have lost their attacking shape. No one straightening, just going side to side.

Of course, with more losses comes no return for thier effort and potentially the back half of the season could be very bad for them

I thought Metcalf's bombs were largely too long for Rocco and the Chasers (great band name by the way) to put any pressure on Ponga. I think you give up the extra 5 min and let our players compete, especially in the rain.

Overall Metcalf was pretty impressive tonight I thought, continuing to grow and now that he's getting used to the players around him. It was a shame Ali bombed that try as that was a Metcalf try assist gone begging

That grubber was his best play tonight I thought and deserved a try assist for it. Would have been a great heads up, constructed try if Ali didn't somehow fumble it.

That and the cut out pass to TT bulleting right past Ali. Shame TT didn't lift his legs, DWZ lands that every time. And before that the Leka shepherd no try. There were a good few set plays that were inches away from being a try.
