As a Cantabrian (who has lived away for 20 years), Warriors games in Christchurch are a source of PTSD for me. I was so excited when they came to town, but those first 3 games were painful. Especially 50-4 and 24-6 losses to the Tigers in 04/05. I remember one particular moment (not sure of the year/player) where our player didn't ground the ball/kick it dead in the in-goal and the Tigers burgled it. It was very embarrassing. The ground felt cursed. It has been more even since that date (4 wins from 9 games in total).

Add the curse of Anzac.

The Warriors will need to continue to relentlessly grind as per type this season. As will be the case throughout the season, the Knights have more x-factor in their team, and we need to shut it down before it starts.

A lot of confident fans here, and I can see why. The Knights have been poor against some average teams. I'll be relieved to get a win to be honest. I'm looking forward to the return of a few troops in the next few weeks.

Backstage with Cooper and Matty Johns.
Good poddy and yarn.

35:54 - Matty Johns talks about the ny-nites in Christchurch, "There's been a bit of an incident at training, they said yesterday, the playmakers went up and called the police and said it's weird that there's this like strange white line just going across the field and they said, It's called the try-line." Crack-Up! 🤣

Right before that, Jack talks up Croker starting and Lucas is back

Anyhow, it's gonna be a Banger! Up The Wahs! 🖐️:p

We’ve got a bit lucky in some wins, maybe due for the luck to turn.

As long as we start well should be able to grind the knights down, they don’t have good memories of coming to NZ.

I wouldn’t be hammering any 13+ margins until our attack starts looking better

Yeah this is something I'm really looking for.

Except for the Tigers game, every other game we've conceded the first try. Even more worrying, 4 of those 5 games we've had a try scored against us in the first 5 minutes. Pretty sure Hazleton in the trials also got across very early for them.

Don't know whats going on with those starts but it sure would be handy to not be chasing this game 5 minutes in..

Warriors by a quadruple Janfin.

Metcalf to kick 4 from 6 plus one 20/40.

Leka to score under the posts.

Mrs Miket12 to wonder if she needs to alter his medication again.
Yep, you do if you think a 20/40's a good thing. :)

Warriors by 14. Maybe 20+ if we're blessed with LM or whoever getting 80+% kicking...
Leka to start and get another try. Also Chanal, Ali, Luke and Erin to get one.
Luke to have a conversion bounce off the left upright as he got one off the right last weekend. Maybe to even complete the trifecta of bouncing one off the crossbar.
KP to be fairly anonymous as I think he's been so far. Certainly not been The Man.
