We do have an average record playing in NZ outside of Auckland which is kind of weird. Not looking at the stats but it does feel this is getting better.
We have a terrible record on ANZAC Day. The majority of that is due to playing the Storm. As much as that was a big event it was like feeding lambs to the slaughter some years. We have also lost the last few ANZAC Day games at home. Those were close to 10 years apart which is a bit of a blight on the NRL not having a game in NZ on ANZAC Day.
The record on ANZAC Day I'm not too worried about. They will be motivated from last year and the form going into this game isn't too bad.
The Knights will be motivated to turn their season around similar to the Titans last year. Let's put the foot on their throat and they can turn around their season from next week.
A game we are expected to win always seems to be more of a curse than a blessing plus our record on ANZAC day isn’t great.
I’d be happy to come away with the win before we start talking about margins. With the outs we have at the moment I was happy to limit the damage until the cavalry came back and we have been performing admirably- just wonder how long that can continue
It's fresh out, soft breeze and wet under foot at the mo, sw92 (the lawn needs to be mowed so it carries more dew than it should I guess, haha, tomorrows job.) Wear your jackets tonight Christchurchians!
We've been badly beaten in 3 halves of footy this year - 2 against the Raiders and one against the Storm.
Trust the process. Our attack is still likely going to look clunky but if we keep our defense solid we'll be able to grind them down, and get a few late tries to push the scoreline out. I'm guessing 28-12 to us.
The CHCH crowd is nuts, going to be a great time. Time for the boys to put the foot down and give a team a hiding. Hope we get more games with the new stadium.
