Sympathetic to the majority of Warriors supporters that don’t jump down rabbit holes every time we lose a game. Re the decision - knock on every time. Were they dissing us or sympathetic??
Its a pity he was a couple of years away from connecting with prime SJ.....now that wouldve been sexy.
We are really predictable, even a shift early in set now and then would have the defence guessing a bit more. In saying that, I’ve liked our shape in recent times. There’s always going to be space open from the attention Halasima gets, it’s up to us to set up plays with this in mind. I agree regarding SJ, that would have been epic to have Halasima running off him and a kick target. Thought Niukore was a big part of SJ’s success in 2023 tooIts a pity he was a couple of years away from connecting with prime SJ.....now that wouldve been sexy.
As u say need to nip the "throw it to Leka when nothings on and hope for the best" in the butt right now. Movement off the ball around him is key i feel, especially when he's receiving it off shapes, decoys and sweepers just to create 1 on 1 or space.....we've seen how lethal he can be in that situation. Also think we overdo the crash ball at the line at times, mix it up with some nice early ball.
I mean he is a weapon now but Katoa at the Storm and Nikora at the Sharks arent bad blueprints to work off.
There was a period in 2023 when there was always players in motion and SJ looked great. We need to get that style back, Tanah ain't SJ but he needs more to work with as he does take the ball to the line.We are really predictable, even a shift early in set now and then would have the defence guessing a bit more. His break was from a one out hit up from memory. I also think when you have a conservative game plan it sets the mindset of players. When you play a more varied, attacking game things start to happen more for you and players have a different mindset. I know the result didn't go our way against the Dolphins but I thought that game was one of the most dangerous we looked with ball in hand. We were much more positive, looking for chances to attack and I think it's one of the few games this season where we created legitimate space and overlaps for our outside backs through good ball movement and shape.Interesting that when RTS got the break against Parra he didnt have the speed to continue on. There was also no real support around him . Remember the days of Wade McKinnon and Lancey boy always backing up players waiting for the pass?
Years ago working offshore, been away for 8 weeks, came home, kids watching tv, said hey guys I'm home, no one blinked. Picked up the tv and hurled through the ranchslider into the pool. Unfortunately the ranch slider was closed.Too much Once were Warriors from you Jake…
But does any of it matter? It was clearly a knock on & the correct decision was made.Just finished watching a replay on youtube. Regarding the infamous Pompey no-try call: it doesn't help that there's no audio commentary from the bunker. IMO there should be mandatory audio in the interests of transparency.
From a pragmatic perspective, you are right, it probably doesn't matter - in hindsight. But from a more idealistic perspective, we should be able to hear the reasoning and justification for the ruling. But does any of it matter? It was clearly a knock on & the correct decision was made.
Yeah fair enough, would have been good to hear him step through the reasoning. From a pragmatic perspective, you are right, it probably doesn't matter - in hindsight. But from a more idealistic perspective, we should be able to hear the reasoning and justification for the ruling.

IMO we are making the odd break or poking heads thru the line but with no finishing speed our attack just looks stifled. Think about Leka/Cht or others making a half break with a JAC or Weekes or Iongi flying to support.Interesting that when RTS got the break against Parra he didnt have the speed to continue on. What did you put the movement in his fingers down to then - a neurological disorder or less serious but still concerning spasm from spinal nerve damage, because you can’t voluntarily replicate that movement in your fingers (that happened at the exact time the ball passed by his hand). Clear knock on.

Many being who? Warriors supporters that couldn’t accept the decision. Rewatch it - his fingers move post ball touching them in a way that it couldn’t possibly be anything else. Where’s the follow up from the Warriors asking for the please explain? Where’s the NRL needing to speak out to justify the call or even admit they’re wrong? The only people that cant accept this reality are, as Denan Kemp describes it, the ‘loud minority’ of Warriors supporters.Clear? Then why did TMO take forever to decide? How many were adamant straight away that it was touched? lol
Most people didn't even see the finger or the ball moving, that is my point, save the spinal disorder argument, that's why many needed Demi's quote as external evidence to confirm their guess
